The announcement sent shockwaves through the wrestling world. Ahead of WrestleMania this year former WWE star Chris Jericho agreed to return to the company in a very different capacity.
WWE themselves announced that Jericho had agreed to appear on The Broken Skull Sessions with Stone Cold Steve Austin whilst he was still contracted to All Elite Wrestling.
The former AEW World Champion has been quite outspoken about WWE since leaving the company and helping AEW to become legitimate competition.

Jericho was reportedly open to the idea of appearing on Stone Cold Steve Austin's show when the call was made, and the show was later streamed on the WWE Network. Jericho was able to talk openly about all aspects of his career whilst appearing on the show, including his recent run in AEW.
This appearance has now opened what is called 'The Forbidden Door' and could now allow WWE and AEW talents to work closer together in the future.
