#5 Curtis Axel

Could the son of Mr Perfect reach his potential elsewhere?
Could the son of Mr Perfect reach his potential elsewhere?

Here we have another Superstar who seemed destined for big things but for some reason or another just has not met their potential.

After being called up the main roster, Curtis Axel scored pinfalls over some of the biggest and best that WWE has to offer, including John Cena.

Pretty soon after this, he was the Intercontinental champion and paired up with Paul Heyman of all people, which is a massive rub considering the caliber of superstars Paul usually manages. When he dropped the title to Big E, things started going downhill fast.

After being dropped by Heyman, the son of Mr Perfect was then placed in an ill-fated tag team with Ryback that never achieved any title reigns and, although he had a tag title reign recently with Bo Dallas he has been an enhancement talent for years.

A Superstar with his in-ring ability and the fact he is the son of an absolute legend would surely be a massive draw in the independent scene and perhaps in a few years he could return and fulfill the potential he clearly has!
