5 Superstars who could challenge Baron Corbin for the US Title

At Hell in a Cell, Baron Corbin finally won his first title in WWE. He defeated Tye Dillinger and AJ Styles in a triple threat match to win the United States Championship.

This year has been a mixed one for the "Lone Wolf". He faced Dean Ambrose for the IC Title at Wrestlemania but could not win it. He came out on the losing end at Backlash too.

However, things suddenly took a dramatic turn for Corbin, when he won the money in the bank briefcase at the MITB PPV in June. Corbin could not capitalise on his win and failed to successfully cash in his MITB contract. On the top of that, Corbin lost his Summerslam match against John Cena.

Corbin was in desperate need of a win and he got that at Hell in a Cell. This win may prove to be a turning point in his career. Now, with Corbin having his first successful title defence against AJ, he will look forward to having new challengers for his title. Here, we take a look at five superstars whom he can face next.

#5. Tye Dillinger

The Perfect 10 is finally getting his chances
The Perfect 10 is finally getting his chances

The Perfect 10 has not got any significant chance since his debut on SD Live. He has been used sparingly and has been mostly relegated to the pre-show.

Dillinger has been getting some chances as of late and was a constant thorn in Corbin's pursuit of AJ's US title. He even scored an upset win over Corbin which earned him the chance to compete at Hell in a Cell. Although he lost the match, Dillinger showed what he can do when given a chance.

Tye will likely be the first challenger for Corbin. These two can produce good matches and both will be highly benefitted from this feud, as it would guarantee significant TV time for them.

#4. Mojo Rawley

Stay Hyped
Stay hyped

The Hype Bros cannot seem to be getting on the same page. Ever since Zack Ryder returned, they have not been able to win matches and blame each other for the loss. With the breakup between the brothers looking likely, WWE may book both of them against each another. Once they are done, they both could move to singles competition.

Since Mojo won Andre the Giant Battle Memorial Royal this year at Wrestlemania, he would be looking to use it as a motivation to kick-start his singles career again. He could challenge Corbin for his US Title and it could well prove to be a fun feud between the two Andre the Giant Battle Royal winners.

#3. Bobby Roode

It will be GLORIOUS
Glorious

When it comes to Bobby Roode, he makes everything around him glorious. The former NXT Champion made his SD Live debut against Aiden English in a winning effort and has not looked back since then.

He challenged Dolph to a match at HIAC and went on to defeat him. The feud between Roode and Ziggler does not seem to be over yet. But once he is done with the show-off, he may come after Baron Corbin and his US Title.

Roode can claim that the US Title is not looking good in Corbin's hand while he can make it Glorious. He can challenge Corbin to a match and may as well win the title from him.

#2. Randy Orton

RKO outtanowhere
RKO outta nowhere

Orton won Royal Rumble for the second time in his career when he eliminated Roman Reigns this year in the Rumble match. He and Bray were involved in a long feud, where we saw Randy going to the bad side, joining Bray and then betraying him. An RKO out of nowhere made sure Orton won his 9th WWE and 13th overall World Championship.

The Viper, however, lost his title to Jinder Mahal at Backlash. It was one of the most shocking moments of the year. Orton, however, got his momentum back and defeated Rusev at Summerslam in less than ten seconds. He emerged victorious again at Hell in a Cell.

The next stop for Randy can be the US Title. Corbin will have to be cautious at all times because the Viper can strike at any time.

#1. Chris Jericho

Baron Corbin! You just made the list
Baron Corbin! You just made the list

Is there anyone more entertaining than Chris Jericho? The 46-year-old can do everything. He can fight, he can sing, and he can maintain that list of his. Jericho's list and his friendship with Kevin Owens was the highlight of last year. He went on to have a great feud with Kevin Owens when the two eventually broke up.

Jericho is currently on a break from WWE. He is enjoying his life outside WWE. But if he does decide to come back, we can see him going after the US Title.

SD Live is in much need of some star power and Jericho's return is much needed for the blue brand.
