But after joining the WWE in 2016 following the Cruiserweight Classic, the Gentleman has remained in the mid-card of 205 Live, only VERY occasionally making his presence known on Raw.
Winning the Cruiserweight Championship could do a world of good for the British star in 2019, as either a face against current champion Buddy Murphy or as a dastardly heel against a different champion.
As champion, Gallagher could breathe new life to the purple brand, that is still struggling to gain viewers, despite amazing matches being given to the fans each and every week.
Hopefully, the brand will finally find it's footing in 2019, and Gallagher will be champion in 2019.
