5 Superstars who won't be leaving NXT anytime soon

Enter ca
Who's staying put?

NXT is WWE's developmental brand or at least, that was the point of it until WWE started signing the best from the Independent scene.

We always think of the call-ups who are coming to the main roster right away after WrestleMania. Guys Like Samoa Joe, Baron Corbin, and Bobby Roode all spent time in NXT and are all now on the main roster.

Sadly, some talent won't be so lucky. For whatever reason, they won't be called up. Either they are not ready or, they are missing something WWE likes. Let's take a look at five such stars in NXT.

#5 Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly

En
The current NXT Tag Team Champions

Both Fish and O'Reilly, with Adam Cole, are the current NXT Tag Team Champions and are a part of the stable known as the 'Undisputed Era'. Now Bobby Fish will won't be going anywhere since he's injured. But let's look at the team before he got hurt.

Both men are fairly new to NXT, as both made their debut at NXT Takeover Brooklyn III last year. The team has been pretty well booked since they first showed up. They won the Tag Titles after being in the promotion for only a few months.

I don't think they are going anywhere anytime soon because they can do more. They can continue to top the rest of the impressive tag division NXT has. They can also continue to help out Adam Cole and hopefully help him win the NXT Championship at some point. The main roster could use a new team on both brands, but these two should stay put right now.

#4 Nikki Cross

She's a Member of Sanity

She is a member of the faction 'Sanit'y. She fits well with the group as her character is as crazy as everyone around her.

She's a fantastic wrestler. Don't believe me? Watch her 'Last Women Standing' match with Asuka from last summer. Both Women tore the house town. But I don't see her getting the call-up to the main roster anytime soon.

She's a great wrestler but is lacking in the mic department right now. WWE is really big on their stars being really good on the mic, and this is the only thing really holding her back. If she were to get called up, I don't think they would have her do it alone. I say, when it's time for her to make the jump, she will be doing it with her Sanity members.

#3 Adam Cole

Ent
Future NXT Champion anyone?

Pretty much what I said about Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly applies for the 'Undisputed Era' leader Adam Cole.

Cole has so much more to do during his time in the yellow brand. The main objective for him obviously is to win the NXT Championship. Imagine a match between Cole and Almas for the NXT Championship. Maybe even a rematch between Aleister Black, if he were to win the belt. There are plenty of matches we would love to see if Cole was in the main event picture.

There are so many options for Cole, so if and when WWE decides to book him in the main event scene, we can get a few really good matches out of it.

#2 Ember Moon

The Current NXT Women's Champion

Unless WWE decides to have her lose the title at Takeover New Orleans, I don't see her leaving anytime soon. The Women's division pretty much sat there jobbing when Asuka was champ, but Moon isn't booked as a monster.

Her feuds with whoever will be good because she can be a strong underdog baby face. She's had a decent title run so far and I say she should hold on to the title a little longer.

She is the perfect Women to have as the face of the Division and could even be a perfect ambassador for the brand.

#1 Andrade "Cien" Almas

The current NXT Champion

Almas has been on top of NXT since winning the title from Drew McIntyre last August. Assuming he doesn't drop the belt at Takeover New Orleans, we can see him staying in NXT for the remainder of 2018.

He's already had a five star classic with Johnny Gargano at Takeover Philadelphia this past January. What else does he have in the tank?

His current feud with Aleister Black will be great if it goes on for more than one match. After having a bad start to his career in NXT, his partnership with Zelina Vega has helped his career in NXT. He will be good on the main roster, but he still has a good few months to go in the yellow brand.
