This year hasn't been an ideal one for Lacey Evans.
This year hasn't been an ideal one for Lacey Evans.

Lacey Evans came to the WWE main roster last year, and Vince McMahon clearly saw her as a top star right away. She wasn't even properly done with her stint in NXT, but McMahon was so impressed that he called her up ahead of schedule.

She was immediately pitted against then-RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch, and while Evans lost the feud, she made a good impression on the backstage officials.

WWE also trusted her to compete in the first-ever women's match in Saudi Arabia against Natalya at Crown Jewel 2019.

But from there, Evans struggled to find success on the main roster. She turned face a couple of months later to feud with Bayley for the SmackDown Women's Championship. She then turned heel again because she lost a karaoke showdown to Naomi. Since then, she hasn't been involved in many major storylines.

As per reports, McMahon was really high on her last year, but that isn't the case anymore.

Evans is currently on WWE RAW, and she was last seen trying to form a team with Peyton Royce. Unfortunately, It seems like WWE has no substantial plans for "The Sassy Southern Belle." Fans only hope that she fares better in 2021.
