Have you guys been following Sheamus on social media? The thing is that he's been teasing a change of gimmick, with a new look, clad in a referee's shirt. He's even brought in body doubles and lookalikes for what seems to be a very interesting new upcoming gimmick.
Kofi was pictured in one of those shots and this makes me wonder if the plan is for Sheamus to return as a referee for the big Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton match at SummerSlam 2019. Could Sheamus turn heel during the match and end up teaming up with Randy Orton? The two men could form an interesting alliance to take the fight to The New Day.
It does seem very pointless to put up such images on social media unless there was an imminent payoff. Sheamus is far too talented a Superstar to be sitting on the sidelines.
