And then, this possibility could also emerge from the Lana vs. Rusev angle, although I wouldn't necessarily be a fan of it. What if it was Lana and Rusev's fan all along to make it seem like she was not on his side, to get one over on Bobby Lashley at the big pay-per-view match? This would keep the angle going for yet another month at least, and we all know that Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman are big fans of this particular storyline.

Anything featuring Rusev, Lana, and Bobby Lashley does great numbers, and even though a twist of this manner may not make a lot of sense, from a booking perspective, it would be a talking point. It would help Rusev and Lana re-establish their pairing once again, as the Bulgarian Brute restarts his ascent to the top of the food chain again.
Rusev could be a valuable heel in the WWE roster and could work against the likes of Rey Mysterio and even Ricochet. It would certainly make things very interesting indeed, in my personal opinion. He could even revisit his feud with Randy Orton.
