Get ready for a power-packed month of exciting WWE action

Crown Jewel was a step in the right direction and despite all the controversy surrounding the events that followed, it remains a very solid night of sports entertainment. The SmackDown that happened in the wake of WWE's top stars not being able to make it to the United States in time featured NXT's top Superstars and was a hugely popular event.

I know that even the most bitter internet critics, who'd fallen out of love with WWE were full of praise for the NXT invasion episode. And this essentially means that the first step in the build to Survivor Series was a massively successful affair.

With that in mind, how can WWE surprise us this month in the build to Survivor Series and beyond? In this article, I will list out a few plausible scenarios for the same, and I invite you guys to do the same as well.

Let me know what you guys think in the comments below.

#5 The OC clashes with The Undisputed ERA

I know that a lot of you enjoyed the match between Daniel Bryan and Adam Cole that happened on SmackDown this week. In fact, in case you haven't done it yet, just take a minute to vote for the match here. Sportskeeda has started a new feature, where you, our valuable reader can leave a comment and rate every WWE match from the week.

That said, now that Cole has a victory over Bryan and the main roster is familiar with who the man is, I do believe that he can potentially move on to bigger things. What is bigger than defeating Daniel Bryan on SmackDown Live? Maybe surrounding the ring when The OC cuts a promo on RAW.

Faction warfare has always been something that the WWE Universe loves.

#4 The Fiend interrupts a Paul Heyman promo

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar stormed out of SmackDown on their quest to find and maul Rey Mysterio and became a part of the RAW roster in doing so. One can imagine that they will kick off RAW in trademark Paul Heyman fashion as the advocate addresses the audience in attendance painting a picture of what his client will do to a certain legendary masked Luchador. And while this is happening, we could see a special edition of the Firefly Fun House on screen.

This will allow us to get a glimpse of the first Champion vs. Champion match at Survivor Series, between Brock Lesnar and The FIend. While Adam Cole can certainly be a part of this match, it makes him a misfit in a sense, because in so many ways he will distract and detract from what is a dream clash. It would make a lot more sense for him to go up against someone like AJ Styles or Shinsuke Nakamura in a well-worked match.

But there is money in a match between The Fiend and Brock Lesnar, and they are likely to clash at Survivor Series 2019 this year.

#3 An NXT star becomes the 24/7 Champion

It is very difficult to keep a tab of who's the 24/7 Champion because, by the time this article is edited and published, there could very well be a brand new man holding the green belt. But the fact of the matter is that something very interesting could happen in the build to Survivor Series this year.

I can totally imagine someone like Kona Reeves, who's not exactly a top guy in NXT coming up to RAW or SmackDown and pinning one of the Singh Brothers. It would, in fact, be a huge step up for the man who's languishing at the bottom of the barrel in NXT.

And then if the 24/7 Championship were to go to NXT, it would actually bring a lot more eyes to the show on the USA Network, especially if a household name like R-Truth were to show up to play. I know that NXT's presentation is a lot more serious and a lot fewer sports entertainment than the main roster, but I think this could be a nice little light-heated segment amidst the seriousness.

Cameron Grimes too could be a contender for the said title.

#2 Io Shirai confronts Asuka on RAW

Japanese Joshi wrestling has become a cultural phenomenon even in the United States, first with the arrival of Asuka, Kairi Sane and later, Io Shirai to WWE. And now, it's reached even greater heights because AEW has put a lot of emphasis on the Joshi style of wrestling in recent times on their television product by making Riho their inaugural Women's Champion. What was once an art confined to Japan is now something that everyone across the world enjoys on weekly television and this is awesome!

Imagine if the Joshi sensation from NXT- Io Shirai steps up to meet Asuka, for a clash. It would simply be a great moment and in a sense, a confrontation between the woman who carried NXT on her back for a long time and someone who's following in Asuka's footsteps to prove herself. I do genuinely believe that it would be the best way to introduce Io Shirai to the main roster audience by far.

Whether it's just a face-off or even a full-fledged match at Survivor Series, this is something that the world would certainly like to see. I know I would!

#1 Jeff Hardy makes his return to action once again

Yes, Jeff Hardy has had his share of personal problems recently but that has been the story of his career and if you're someone who's as creative as the man is, sometimes your employer needs to give you a few allowances. We all know just how much he loves competing in the ring and therefore, I do honestly believe that there will be a place for him when he decides to return.

According to the initial estimation, Jeff Hardy would be okay to compete by the middle of November 2019. If such is still the case, it will be very interesting to see which brand he joins upon his big return.

Will WWE bring back the Hardy Boyz once again to spice up the tag team division and take The Revival or The Viking Raiders to their limit? Or instead, would it make a lot more sense to have Jeff Hardy compete as a singles performer, working with youngsters like Humberto Carillo to elevate them and give them the big rub?

People would be thrilled to see The Hardy Boyz return to action again!
