#3 LA Knight wins the Ladder Match clean at NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2021
At NXT TakeOver: In Your House, Cameron Grimes had his chance at glory. Grimes has constantly been the most entertaining part of NXT television in recent weeks. Who would have expected him to feud with Ted DiBiase in 2021? It has gotten Cameron Grimes over as one of the most popular acts based on the reaction at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. He seemed set for glory by winning the Million Dollar Championship on Sunday night.
So it was surprising to see the popular Grimes lose the Ladder match clean on Sunday night to LA Knight. Grimes wasted some time climbing the literal golden ladder as he tried to claim the Million Dollar Championship. This allowed LA Knight to tip over the ladder and drop Grimes on his back onto a ladder bridge below. LA Knight was then able to climb the ladder and win the Million Dollar Championship match at NXT TakeOver: In Your House.
LA Knight will certainly be an excellent and obnoxious champion. Will he defend the title in the near future? We can certainly hope so. It could be an amazing moment if Cameron Grimes wins the title in front of a huge NXT crowd.
