5 things Brock Lesnar should do before his WWE career ends

Brock Lesnar is expected to leave WWE in 2018

Brock Lesnar may be the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal champion, but he’s also less than a year away from having his final match in a WWE ring.

“The Beast Incarnate” signed a three-year contract with the company in March 2015 and, depending on who you believe, that deal will either expire in April 2018 or August 2018.

Either way, the man who conquered The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania XXX is set to be on his way out of WWE at some point in the next 12 months, leaving us to wonder what five things he should do before he calls time on his Hall of Fame-worthy career.

#1 Lose the Universal title to Roman Reigns

B
Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns main-evented WrestleMania 31

It might not be the most popular decision but, barring a miracle, the WWE Universe has to accept that we’ll almost certainly see Roman Reigns defeat Brock Lesnar clean for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34.

Ever since “The Show of Shows” in April, where Lesnar defeated Goldberg and Reigns defeated The Undertaker, the F5 and the Spear have been made to feel like unstoppable moves that nobody can kick out of.

Add to that the fact that Lesnar has already successfully defended his Universal Championship in singles matches against Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe, and “The Beast” has now run out of legitimate challengers (sorry, Finn Balor fans) for his title.

Love him or hate him, Reigns will lead the WWE locker room and the company’s main-event storylines for years to come, so having him defeat the mighty Lesnar on the biggest stage in yet another torch-passing moment is, despite the critics, undoubtedly best for business.

#2 Lose clean to Braun Strowman

Br
Brock Lesnar defeated Braun Strowman at No Mercy 2017

You’d expect a legendary Superstar like Brock Lesnar to bow out of WWE at a WrestleMania event, not at SummerSlam, but UFC president Dana White claims that the Universal champion’s contract with Vince McMahon’s company is actually due to expire in August 2018.

Presumably, that means he’ll have one, or maybe even two, more matches in WWE after his inevitable battle with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34.

If that is the case, perhaps Braun Strowman could revive his rivalry with Lesnar in the summer of 2018 and finally, after trying and failing on two occasions, get a pinfall victory over the man he main-evented No Mercy with in September.

After Reigns, Strowman is WWE’s next huge star of the present and future, and a clean victory over the former UFC champion would solidify his status as “The Monster Among Men”.

#3 Split from Paul Heyman

Pau
Paul Heyman previously turned against Brock Lesnar in 2002

Okay, so this isn’t something we necessarily want to see, but Paul Heyman is just too good in his role as an advocate to leave WWE when Brock Lesnar departs in 2018.

Lesnar just wasn't the same when he returned by himself in April 2012 and it wasn't until he aligned with Heyman again a couple of months later that he really carried himself like the unstoppable “Beast” we know him as today.

Unfortunately, the alignment has to come to an end at some point, and whether it’s Lesnar who cuts ties with Heyman or Heyman who cuts ties with Lesnar, possibly by costing him a victory, these two are bound to separate at some point in 2018.

If it does happen, perhaps we’ll see a new guy or girl join Heyman’s ranks in the future.

#4 Appear on 'Table For 3'

I
It would be WWE's highest-rated episode ever!

For those who don’t have the WWE Network, ‘Table For 3’ is a series where three Superstars – some past, some present – have dinner together and tell stories about their days in pro wrestling/sports entertainment.

A recent episode saw Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose sit down together for a chat about their original run together as The Shield, while the likes of Ric Flair, Bruno Sammartino and Jim Cornette have also previously appeared.

If there’s one person in modern-day WWE who you wouldn’t expect to see on the show, it’s Brock Lesnar – and that’s exactly why he should appear on it.

As for potential guests at the table, how about John Cena and Randy Orton join him to discuss their days together in Ohio Valley Wrestling before they made it to the main roster?

#5 Take Enzo Amore to Suplex City

E
Brock Lesnar can victimise whoever he wants

Who doesn’t love watching Brock Lesnar take Superstars half his size on a one-way trip to Suplex City? He’s done it to Bo Dallas and Heath Slater in the past, and there’s only one man the WWE Universe wants to see beaten, victimised and conquered in a similar fashion, and that’s Enzo Amore.

The two-time Cruiserweight champion claims to have the “gift of gab and the gift of jab”, which is all well and good when he’s taking on Superstars who weigh 205lbs and under, but it wouldn’t serve him too well if he were to step inside the squared circle with the man who ended The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak.

Imagine a situation where an enraged Lesnar marches down to the ring during an Enzo promo – or, better still, an Enzo match – and proceeds to throw “Smacktalker Skywalker” around with suplexes and F5s.

If reports are to be believed, Vince McMahon loves it when Enzo gets rag-dolled around by fellow Superstars, so don’t count it out!
