Former WWE Superstar JTG is best known as one half of the incredibly popular Cryme Tyme tag team during his WWE career. JTG teamed up with tag team partner Shad Gaspard for several years in WWE from 2006 to 2010 before branching out into singles competition.

JTG's WWE career lasted eight years before he was released by the company in 2014.

The former WWE Superstar recently sat down with Sportskeeda's Dr. Chris Featherstone for another episode of UnSKripted to discuss a variety of topics in the world of professional wrestling on the road to WrestleMania 37.

Let's take a closer look at 5 things we learned from JTG's Sportskeeda interview.

#5 JTG's opinion on Titus O'Neil receiving the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Warrior Award instead of Shad Gaspard

JTG's former Cryme Tyme tag team partner Shad Gaspard tragically passed away in 2020.

Due to the heroic circumstances surrounding Gaspard's passing with Gaspard instructing lifeguards to save his son before himself, many had petitioned for the former WWE Superstar to receive the Warrior Award at the following year's WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Since being created in 2015, the Warrior Award in the WWE Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who demonstrate strength, courage and live their lives with the compassion that embodies the spirit of the late WWE Hall of Famer The Ultimate Warrior.

However, it was announced by WWE that the 2020 and 2021 recipients of the Warrior Award would be Titus O'Neil and longtime WWE employee Rich Hering, respectively.

When asked about Shad Gaspard not receiving the Warrior Award during this year's induction class, JTG revealed that he believes Titus deserves it for all the work he has done with the community in Florida:

"I definitely believe Titus deserves it, i saw he does a lot of work in the community and i did put out a post this morning just for fun. Just to get a good laugh, that's what Shad would have wanted. It was a post, it was somebody made it on Instagram and i had to post it. It was a picture of me in Kayne West's attire, pulling a Kanye West on Taylor Swift but on Titus. The photoshop skills were amazing, i was like 'oh i have to repost this' but it didn't get the reaction that i wanted. So i took the post down because this was supposed to be for fun and 'haha' and that's funny JTG but everyone was going at Titus. Shout out to Titus, he deserves it. I didn't want to put any shade on his parade. Especially a brother too, he deserves that."

JTG and Dr. Chris Featherstone also discussed how Shad Gaspard could always receive the Warrior Award during a future Hall of Fame induction ceremony over the next few years, too.

#4 JTG's recollection of famously vandilizing JBL's limo on WWE Monday Night RAW with John Cena

A memorable WWE moment during JTG's professional wrestling career came on Monday Night RAW in 2008.

Shad Gaspard and JTG of Cryme Tyme were briefly placed in a faction with John Cena on WWE television during Cena's feud with longtime rival, and now WWE Hall of Famer, John "Bradshaw" Layfield.

During an episode of RAW in the summer of 2008, Cryme Tyme and John Cena famously vandalized JBL's trademark longhorn white limosine. JTG and Shad smashed windows and mirrors using pipes and baseball bats. John Cena spraypainted a variety of humourous phrases all over Layfield's prized vehicle.

When asked about his recollection of the famous segment, JTG revealed that he thoroughly enjoyed participating in the segment:

"Oh, I had a blast. Destroying stuff is always fun, I don't know, something about human nature. But destroying a car, a computer, a laptop, throwing glass. There's actually a place out here in LA that allows you to do that. You put on some protective glasses and protective clothes so you don't get cut and you can go in there and you can just break stuff, they give you a bat and you just go in there and break stuff."

The feud between John "Bradshaw" Layfield and John Cena eventually culminated in a Parking Lot Brawl at The Great American Bash in 2008 in which JBL shockingly left victorious.

#3 JTG reveals if he would be interested in returning to WWE in the future

WWE released JTG from his contract in June 2014 due to annual budget cuts. Since then, JTG has continued to appear on the independent wrestling scene, previously teaming up with Shad Gaspard as Cryme Tyme, and now competing as a singles star once again.

During JTG's Sportskeeda interview, the former WWE Superstar was asked if there was a possibility that the WWE Universe could see JTG compete inside of a WWE ring once again in the future.

The former Cryme Tyme member revealed that he wouldn't mind being back inside of a WWE ring and that he is more than ready to return to the promotion if he receives the call in the future:

"Only time can tell. That's not up to me. I feel like everybody wants me back in a WWE ring. I wouldn't mind being back in a WWE ring, if the situation is right. I'm all for it. I'm more than physically ready, I'm more than mentally ready. I'm well seasoned. I've got a good head on my shoulders, no injuries, still young and life is good, no complaints."

JTG also acknowledged that he did not win a championship during his WWE career with Cryme Tyme or as a singles wrestler. Therefore, should JTG return to the company in the future, he would certainly have some unfinished business and new goals to achieve.

#2 JTG discusses what matches he's excited to see at WWE WrestleMania 37

WWE WrestleMania is only days away and the WWE Universe is already buzzing for some of the huge matches scheduled for both nights of the showcase of the immortals.

During his Sportskeeda interview, JTG was asked which matches he's excited to see at WrestleMania 37. The former WWE Superstar said he was interested in the WWE Championship match between Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre. The former Cryme Tyme member also stated that he would like to see Bobby Lashley retain the WWE Championship on the grandest stage of them all:

"I would like to see Bobby Lashley retain his title. I hate seeing a champion just get the title and lose it. I'm used to the winged eagle, when the champion holds the title for at least a year. It made the title mean something, it made main event matches mean something. It made pay per views mean something. Like 'yo this man been champion for like 11 months, i got to get this pay per view"

While discussing current WWE Champion Bobby Lashley, JTG was also asked for his opinion on The Hurt Business recently breaking up on Monday Night RAW. JTG stated that agreed with the criticisms that it was too soon to split up the popular faction:

"That was shortlived, i would have loved to have seen them do a lot more. But, again, it's around WrestleMania season and there's always some type of twist. So, i just got to wait until after 'Mania to make my conclusion on whether or not that was well executed or not."

However, JTG did admit that he was holding some reservations on The Hurt Business splitting up until after WrestleMania. The former WWE Superstar stated that the faction's split could all be part of a big swerve on the grandest stage of them all:

"We'll see. It might be a twist I don't know. It might be a swerve. I will have to see everything laid out before i make any decisions"

#1 JTG reveals advice from Chris Benoit before his WWE debut

JTG's WWE debut came as a member of Cryme Tyme in 2006 on an episode of Monday Night RAW from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

During the interview, JTG was asked if he had ever had a match against Chris Benoit. The former WWE Superstar said that he never had a match against Chris Benoit, but he did reveal some interesting advice that Benoit shared with him prior to his WWE debut match:

"Never wrestled Chris Benoit. But Chris Benoit was one of the, I'm going to say he was the first, but he was one of the first that i actually can remember, that came up to me and gave me some great advice. When we debuted at the Staples Center. Right before i was going up, i was stretching and he pulled me to the side and he's like 'this is your debut match right?' and he was like, 'Alright, when you go out there, you never pull back, you never hesitate' because sometimes talent, sometimes there's miscommunication. Let's say I'm going to throw a punch and he was supposed to duck but he's still there, you know, they hesitate and do something else. He's like 'if they don't duck, hit them,' you have to protect yourself and protect the business. He was always big on protecting the business."

Cryme Tyme made their Monday Night RAW debut in October 2006, defeating two members of the then-WWE World Tag Team Champions The Spirit Squad.
