#1 Cesaro must qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match on WWE SmackDown
Seth Rollins has his eyes on the Universal Championship on WWE SmackDown. He demanded a match against Roman Reigns, but Edge returned right in time to get back in the title picture.
Rollins was unhappy with Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville last week for not allowing him a chance against The Tribal Chief. Instead, Pearce decided that Rollins will face Cesaro this week to determine who will qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Cesaro and Rollins have had a long-running rivalry with some top-class matches. The high-stakes match will likely allow both men to put on a great show on Friday night.
While Rollins could make things interesting in the MITB match and possibly win the contract, WWE must allow Cesaro to win on SmackDown instead. Not only will this allow The Swiss Superman to perform in a big match on the pay-per-view, but it will also infuriate The Messiah even more.
Rollins could end up losing his mind once again following the loss. The angle could lead him to attacking Edge at Money in the Bank and costing him his match against Reigns. WWE could then start building towards a potential match between Rollins and Edge for SummerSlam 2021.
