Zoey Stark and Io Shirai had a rather unpleasant interaction backstage on WWE NXT last week. Stark was seen praising Shirai and claimed that she wanted to help her out. Shirai, on the other hand, said that she respected Stark but did not like her.

Later on, the two competed in a match against The Robert Stone Brand. After doing well together, Shirai delivered a great moonsault to pick up the victory.

After the match, the two had a face-off with Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai before Ember Moon, and Shotzi Blackheart arrived. A brawl ensued, and Samoa Joe had to bring in an army of security personnel to separate the three teams.

This week, the three teams will compete in a match to determine who will face The Way for the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships at The Great American Bash.

WWE must allow Shirai and Stark to pick up the victory by pinning Moon or Blackheart on the show. Stark and Shirai have good chemistry in the ring, and a championship shot will keep them busy for some time.

Gonzalez has her NXT Women’s Championship to worry about, while Blackheart and Moon have already had a reign with the tag titles. Therefore, WWE should book a fresh match for The Great American Bash.
