#3 Dexter Lumis targets Johnny Gargano for the WWE NXT North American Championship
At Halloween Havoc, Dexter Lumis defeated Cameron Grimes with the help of some zombies to rise up the WWE NXT roster. Lumis has been on a good run in NXT, and it seems like the creative team is looking to book him in a major Championship rivalry sooner than later.
Johnny Gargano, on the other hand, became the new WWE NXT North American Champion after he defeated Damian Priest for the title at Halloween Havoc. He found assistance from a figure in a Scream mask during the match. Last week on NXT, we saw a segment where Gargano celebrated his victory with the masked person.
This week, Gargano is scheduled to defend his new title against a mystery opponent. Several top Superstars in NXT deserve a shot at the title, including KUSHIDA, Bronson Reed, and Tommaso Ciampa. However, WWE should allow Lumis to get in the title picture by coming out as the mystery opponent.
Lumis is an outstanding performer who can have an extended rivalry with Gargano. Since The Tortured Artist does not have any active rivalries, he could take on The Rebel Heart.
WWE could protect Lumis by allowing the man in the mask to help Gargano defeat Lumis and retain his title to prolong their rivalry.
