#4 Dakota Kai must take the pin on WWE NXT this week
The inaugural WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions have been doing a great job on WWE NXT. Dakota Kai and Raquel González are among the top women in WWE. They have managed to show their worth over the past few months as a team.
González has been one of the true breakout stars in WWE over the past year. She is also the only superstar who has pinned the NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai over the past several months.
Shirai has shown her interest in facing González in her title defense. González has been excited about the opportunity. It looks like Kai is a little jealous of her friend’s rise to the top.
Last week on NXT, Shirai presented a title match contract to González after Kai’s match against Zoey Stark. Backstage, Kai was more interested in teaming up with González to face Shirai and Stark in a tag team match.
This week, WWE must allow Captain Kota to take the pin from Shirai during the tag team match. This will further show Kai as the weak link in her partnership with González.
This will likely lead to a fall-out between Kai and González before TakeOver: Stand & Deliver as Kai will have cost her team a few matches by then.
