A few major storylines must develop in WWE this week

WWE had an eventful week capped off by the WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view. WWE RAW hosted a few big matches to build towards the event.

Jinder Mahal returned to RAW with a couple of new bodyguards. Randy Orton showed his true colors after picking up a victory with Riddle and the New Day.

Bobby Lashley retained his WWE Championship at WrestleMania Backlash. Rhea Ripley too managed to retain her title after taking down Charlotte Flair and Asuka at the pay-per-view.

Karrion Kross threw Austin Theory around like a ragdoll on WWE NXT before making him pass out to the Kross Jacket. Finn Balor appeared after the match to challenge the new NXT Champion to a rematch.

Pete Dunne nearly broke Leon Ruff’s fingers, while Raquel Gonzalez defeated Mercedes Martinez after a good match. Will Dakota Kai turn on Gonzalez soon and cost her the NXT Women’s Championship?

Cesaro proved himself once again on WWE SmackDown but failed to put down Roman Reigns at WrestleMania Backlash. The Swiss Superman seems to be back in a rivalry with Seth Rollins.

Bianca Belair defeated Bayley, retaining her SmackDown Women’s title by rolling her up with the use of her hair. Will The Role Model get another shot at The EST’s title in the coming weeks?

Let’s take a look at the five things that must happen on WWE RAW, NXT, and SmackDown this week.

#5 Alexa Bliss and Lily must target a former champion on WWE RAW

Alexa Bliss and Lily are having the time of their lives on WWE RAW. Bliss has been hosting Alexa’s Playground on RAW and has made Lily’s intentions clear over the past couple of weeks.

Lily has her eyes on a superstar on RAW, and WWE must focus on building that storyline on this week’s show. Bliss and Lily must appear this week and start possessing former RAW Women’s Champion Asuka.

Asuka was one of the women who competed in the six-woman tag team match on RAW. Bliss and Lily appeared to watch the match closely. The Empress pinned Shayna Baszler to pick up the victory in the match.

Asuka has now fallen out of the RAW Women’s Championship picture after her loss at WrestleMania Backlash, and this could be Lily’s time to strike. Bliss and her doll could take control of Asuka and possibly take her back to her old Kana character to change things around on RAW.

The angle could help bring something different to the WWE Universe and give Bliss and Asuka a chance to work together. Lily could end up building an all-women faction on RAW that could help build RAW’s women division.

#4 Keith Lee must return to enter the WWE Championship scene on RAW

Bobby Lashley defied all odds to retain his WWE Championship at WrestleMania Backlash. The All Mighty defeated Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat Match to retain the title at the pay-per-view.

Lashley pinned Strowman at WrestleMania Backlash, and that should take Strowman out of the WWE Championship picture. McIntyre has been part of the WWE title scene since the 2020 Royal Rumble, and he should also take a backseat after the loss.

A new challenger for the WWE Championship must appear on RAW this week to make matters more interesting. One man who could give Lashley a run for his money is Keith Lee.

The Limitless One has been away from the ring for some time and he could make his return this Monday night. Lee must use T-Bar and Mace to attack the WWE Champion this week before coming out to reveal himself as their new leader.

This will help Lee enter the WWE Championship scene and turn things around on RAW. Since Sheamus is busy defending his United States Championship and Randy Orton has entered the tag team division, Lee could be the perfect superstar to take on Lashley.

#3 Ted DiBiase must challenge Cameron Grimes to a match on WWE NXT

Cameron Grimes made some smart investments during his time away from WWE NXT. He returned with a million dollars in his bank account and has since been looking to buy his way to success in WWE.

‘The Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase has been on Grimes’ case over the past few months. After appearing in some backstage videos, the WWE legend is scheduled to appear on Tuesday night.

There are a million things DiBiase could do during his appearance on NXT. He could become Grimes’ new manager or ask him for some financial advice. Instead, DiBiase must appear and bring in some new talent on WWE television. He could also look to bring back Tyler Rust with a brand new gimmick.

DiBiase must then offer Grimes a chance to face the new superstar and possibly win the Million Dollar Championship in the process.

There are several wrestlers at the WWE Performance Center waiting to make their television debut. DiBiase is someone who could help a young star get some spotlight and a major push to get started on their WWE journey.

#2 Johnny Gargano must retain his title on WWE NXT

Johnny Gargano and Bronson Reed will compete inside a Steel Cage on WWE NXT this week. The two superstars will compete for the NXT North American Championship.

William Regal made this match official last week, and Gargano was not too happy with the General Manager’s decision. However, he will have to try his best to defend his title against The Colossal.

The steel cage stipulation will likely help keep Austin Theory out of the equation. This will give Reed a better chance at winning his first title in WWE. While The Colossal deserves to win his first title in WWE sooner rather than later, he must not win it this week.

Instead, Gargano must be allowed to retain his NXT North American Championship on Tuesday night. Johnny Wrestling has had a decent reign as the champion and he is currently one of the most entertaining characters in NXT.

Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell recently won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. Therefore, WWE must allow The Way to hold the two titles for some time before losing them.

#1 Roman Reigns must give The Usos an ultimatum on WWE SmackDown

Roman Reigns has been one of the top heels in WWE since his return last year. The SmackDown Superstar has managed to gain a lot more fans with his recent work involving several high-profile matches.

At WrestleMania Backlash, Reigns overcame Cesaro after a really good contest. The Tribal Chief has already defeated Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Edge, Daniel Bryan and The Swiss Superman for his title.

However, Reigns’ newest problem involves his two cousins; Jimmy and Jey Uso. Jimmy recently returned to SmackDown after a long time away from the ring. Since then, he has refused to bow down to The Tribal Chief and even tried to talk his brother out of following Reigns blindly.

This week on SmackDown, WWE must allow Reigns to issue a final warning to Jimmy and Jey to get on the same page or prepare to leave the family. The Head of the Table must then suggest a Hell in a Cell match between the two brothers if they fail to settle their differences.

WWE could use this storyline to possibly build towards a clash between Jimmy and Reigns for the Universal Championship. Reigns and Jey had an incredible rivalry last year, and Jimmy could work with his cousin to replicate that this year.
