Will the fan-favorites, Styles and Charlotte, emerge out of CoC holding their titles?
Will the fan-favourites, Styles and Charlotte, emerge out of CoC holding their titles?

The last PPV of the year in WWE, Clash of Champions (CoC), is set for this Sunday, and the SmackDown-branded PPV looks to be a decent card on paper. The main event of the show will see the current WWE Champion, AJ Styles, face Jinder Mahal in a rematch for the title. This PPV is a star-studded affair with almost the entire Smackdown Live roster taking part in the former WCW PPV. The US title match will be a triple threat contest, the Tag Team Championships will be defended in a fatal four way, while the Women's Championship will have a Lumberjack (jill) stipulation to it.

The whole PPV looks highly promising on paper and should live up to the expectations. We look at five things that WWE must definitely book at Clash of Champions.

#5 The culmination of Fashion Files

Breakout stars of the year?
Breakout stars of the year?

Fashion Files has been the most entertaining segment of Smackdown Live for months now, as their investigation of the people who attacked them, a riveting sight. Their ongoing search for the attackers has come to a halt for now, with The Bludgeon Brothers or "2B", being their prime suspects.

Breezango have delivered in hilarious fashion these last six months. However, their in-ring action has been extremely limited. They hardly stand a chance against the team of Harper and Rowan, but all four Superstars involved are quality performers which could lead to a decent encounter at the PPV.

The Bludgeon Brothers have given no explanation as to why they attacked the Fashion Police, and we expect a story to develop at the PPV as well as future SmackDown Live shows.

#4 Baron Corbin wins the triple threat

The Lone Wolf needs to make the mid-card his own.
The Lone Wolf needs to make the mid-card his own

Baron Corbin is a young Superstar in WWE who has had a rough 2017. He started the year coming off a fantastic WWE Championship match against AJ Styles and Dolph Ziggler, produced a brilliant performance at Elimination Chamber, won the Money in the Bank but later failed to win the WWE Championship during his cash-in.

He had a feud with John Cena, which turned out to be a dull and boring rivalry which did not do him any favours. He won the US Championship from AJ Styles at Hell in a Cell and has been a decent champion so far. However, taking the title off him so early will be a very bad decision by WWE.

He should be given more chances to showcase his talents and a decent run in the mid-card will definitely propel his status amongst the WWE Universe.

#3 Seeds of Daniel Bryan's return are sowed

Tensions are rising between the authority generals.
Tension has been rising between the two authority figures of SmackDown

Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon have had a few arguments since Shane's decision to lay siege to RAW last month, during the lead-up to Survivor Series PPV. Both of these authority figures have been struggling to be on same terms, with Shane's hatred of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, while Bryan's support towards his former indie colleagues has created a major problem on Smackdown Live.

Speculation is rife about Bryan's return to the ring, with many reports stating that a comeback to the ring for the former World Champion is on the cards soon. He has stated his desire to return to the squared circle on numerous occasions, and WWE could bring him back sooner rather than later.

A healthy and a match-fit Daniel Bryan will be "Best for Business" for WWE.

#2 Owens and Zayn win the match and retain their contract

Should they be the face of Smackdown? YEP
Should they be the face of Smackdown? YEP

Kevin Owens has been stuck in a rivalry with Shane McMahon for over six months now, and also rekindled his friendship with Sami Zayn, and both Canadians are the top dogs on Smackdown Live.

However, their rivalry with McMahon should be done and dusted at CoC, with a win for them against the unlikely duo of Nakamura and Orton. This feud between Owens-Zayn and Shane McMahon played spoilsport during the main event of Survivor Series, which was a horrendous decision by the management.

Owens-Zayn should move on from this feud and enter the main-event scene as both of these Superstars deserve much better than to be stuck in a pointless feud with Shane McMahon.

#1 AJ Styles defeats Jinder Mahal fair and square

He deserves someone better than Jinder Mahal
He deserves someone better than Jinder Mahal

AJ Styles' triumph at Manchester, England last month sent the WWE Universe into a frenzy. Jinder Mahal's disastrous reign as a WWE Champion was rightfully ended by the Phenomenal One, as Mahal's reign did nothing to elevate either the championship or the blue brand as a whole.

Jinder Mahal's stay in the main-event picture should finally come to a graceful end this Sunday, and both of these Superstars should engage in better rivalries which would help to make Smackdown Live a better show.

Styles needs better opponents for the WWE Championship and currently, Smackdown Live roster lacks in the heel department. Could The Viper turn heel again and finally engage in a dream feud with the Phenomenal One?
