5 Things that must happen at WWE Super ShowDown 2019

This will make Super ShowDown even better

WWE will return to Saudi Arabia on Friday, 7 June, where they will host their next pay-per-view event - Super ShowDown. Several matches have been confirmed for the event, and some of the biggest names in WWE will appear on the show.

The match we thought we would never see in WWE is finally going to happen. For the first time ever, former Universal Champion Goldberg will take on The Undertaker. The Viper Randy Orton will take on The Cerebral Assassin Triple H, Seth Rollins will defend his Universal Championship against the most despised man in WWE right now, Baron Corbin.

Other matches scheduled for the event are Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship, Roman Reigns vs Shane McMahon, Bobby Lashley vs Braun Strowman, Lars Sullivan vs. Lucha House Party and Finn Balor will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Andrade. Oh, and once again, 50 Superstars will compete in a battle royal match for no given reason.

A lot can happen at the PPV, especially with Brock Lesnar lurking around with the Money in the Bank contract. Here are five things that must happen at WWE Super ShowDown this year.

#5 Drew McIntyre must win the 50-Man Battle Royal

McIntyre needs a big win
McIntyre needs a big win

WWE had a second chance to make this man the big star that he was once promised to be, but lately, The Scottish Psychopath's booking has been questionable. McIntyre is arguably the biggest heel in WWE right now, and unlike Corbin, fans actually want to see him on the main card and for him to receive a push as Universal Champion.

When Roman Reigns returned to WWE before WrestleMania and feuded with the trio of McIntyre, Lashley, and Corbin, I didn't want him to take on Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania, because I was worried about how things would end up. Eventually, Roman Reigns vs McIntyre was confirmed for WrestleMania.

Reigns pinned McIntyre after a single Spear at the Show of Shows, and that was a very bad idea. McIntyre continued suffering constant losses after that and now, he is involved in Shane McMahon's dull feud with Roman Reigns. McIntyre should be in contention for the Universal Championship right now, but WWE once again showed that ruining a character is what they do best.

The Scottish Psychopath doesn't have a match at Super ShowDown, so it's most likely that he will enter the 50-Man Battle Royal. If he does, he better WIN. Fans have had enough of WWE ruining potential Superstars like Drew and pushing unwanted Superstars like Baron Corbin.

#4 Randy Orton must defeat Triple H

The Game vs The Viper
The Game vs The Viper

At WWE Super ShowDown, two old rivals and companions will collide once again, perhaps for the last time ever in WWE. Both Superstars are former WWE World Heavyweight Champions and they have a very decorated career. They are two of the best that WWE has to offer. They ruled Monday Night Raw as part of Evolution and The Authority.

The Game is fresh off a win from WrestleMania where he defeated and retired The Animal Batista. The Viper, on the other hand, recently lost to AJ Styles at WrestleMania 35 and failed to capture the Money in the Bank contract at Money in the Bank. Defeating Triple H and possibly retiring him will be good for Orton. After all, he was once known as The Legend Killer.

The Game doesn't need to win this match, as he is no longer a regular in-ring competitor, unlike Orton. The Viper, however, isn't going to hang up his boots anytime soon, so he needs to come out with the win.

#3 Kofi Kingston must retain the WWE Championship

Kingston needs to remain WWE Champion for a very long time
Kingston needs to remain WWE Champion for a very long time

Kofi Kingston shocked the entire world when he successfully defeated Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 to become the new WWE Champion. He defended his title at Money in the Bank and on Raw and SmackDown Live. The WWE Champion has a new challenger in the form of The Show-off, Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler made his return to WWE on Smackdown Live last week and viciously attacked Kingston. The two are set to collide at Super ShowDown for the WWE title but in the end, Kofi must retain.

In the latest WWE NEWS, Dolph Ziggler is a former two-time World Heavyweight Champion and he deserves another shot at the biggest prize on the blue brand, but it would be a big mistake if WWE made Kofi drop his title to Ziggler. What should happen is; Kofi should retain the WWE Championship at SSD only for Big E to turn heel and attack him later, setting up a feud between the two for WWE's most coveted prize.

#2 Seth Rollins must retain the Universal Champion

Of all people on Raw, Baron Corbin -- the least liked human being in WWE-- is getting a shot at the Universal Championship at Super ShowDown against Seth Rollins. We all know who rightfully deserves this title shot. The Beastslayer defeated The Beast Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania to win the Universal Championship.

Corbin pinned The Miz on Raw this week in a Fatal 4-Way "Elimination" match on Raw to become the number one contender for the big red belt. It's no secret that WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon is high on Corbin. The latter defeated Kurt Angle on his retirement match at 'Mania despite backlash from fans and critics.

Let's just hope that WWE doesn't give Corbin another big push by awarding him the Universal title. Seth is a fighting champion and he deserves to be champion for a long time. With the arrival of AEW, the last thing WWE wants to do is make Corbin Universal Champion.

#1 The Undertaker must defeat Goldberg

At Super ShowDown, The Phenom will go against none other than the Legend Bill Goldberg. This match is taking place perhaps excessively late but it is still a dream match for many fans. Both Goldberg and The Undertaker lost their last matches in WWE but in their upcoming match, The Deadman should come out the victor. Taker already lost his two previous matches in WWE.

He lost to The Game Triple H at Super Show Down in Australia last year and to DX at Crown Jewel, along with his brother Kane.

So, if he loses once more, he will come out looking weak and he won't look very fearsome. Undertaker has worked for WWE for almost three decades, and the company shouldn't feed him to Goldberg, who mostly wrestled in WCW and he hasn't contributed much to the company compared to what 'Taker has done.
