The Princess of Staten Island, Carmella, has been an integral part of the women's division of Vince McMahon's wrestling promotion, WWE. Though the WWE Universe did not expect her to be as successful as she has been, the Princess continues to be one of the top female superstars of the company since 2016.

She had made her main roster debut on the SmackDown episode after the brand split draft. Very few may be able to recollect her maiden match against the Queen of Harts, Natalya.

WWE had organized the first-ever Women's Money In The Bank ladder match in the year 2017. Since the Money in the Bank pay-per-view was exclusive to SmackDown Live, only the female superstars of the blue brand got a chance to participate in the match.

With the likes of Natalya, Becky Lynch and Charlotte in the match, WWE pulled off a bold move by having James Ellsworth win the briefcase for Carmella. Since the match ended in a controversial manner, a re-match was held after two nights.

However, Carmella silenced all her critics by winning the Money In The Bank briefcase without any help.

Carmella is till date the only female superstar to have won the MITB ladder match twice.

If we have a look at the female names on SmackDown Live roster after the 2016 draft, the "B Show" had Becky Lynch, Natalya, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Eva Marie and Carmella. Nikki Bella too joined the crew but apart from Carmella, none of them are a part of SmackDown Live right now.

As mentioned ahead, Carmella became the first ever female superstar to win the Money In The Bank ladder match in 2017. The Princess of Staten Island waited a lot before finally cashing in her briefcase. She stayed Ms. Money In The Bank for 287 days and thus, broke the all-time record of the WWE Hall of Famer Edge, who held the contract for 280 days.

The other 2 Women's Money In The Bank winners, Alexa Bliss and Bayley did not have a bit of patience as they decided to exercise their cash-in just within a few hours. While Alexa Bliss lost her RAW Women's Championship at SummerSlam 2018, it remains to be seen how long does Bayley's reign last.

It is no secret that the Japanese superstar Asuka is one of the most protected female wrestlers of the female division. She seldom loses her matches in a clean manner. The fact that she had an unbeaten streak which lasted over two years proves the aforementioned statement.

However, there was a time when Asuka received poor booking from the Creative team, and she lost a host of pay-per-view matches. She first lost her WrestleMania debut match to Charlotte Flair and following WrestleMania 34, she entered in a feud with Carmella.

Carmella had recently won the title from Charlotte, and WWE was under immense pressure as to which superstar should be protected. They decided to go with Carmella and introduced James Ellsworth in the mix to protect Asuka.

But, during that feud, Carmella became the first ever female superstar to hand Asuka to consecutive defeats on pay-per-views. She overcame Asuka at Money In The Bank and Extreme Rules 2018 to end the Japanese superstar's dominance.
