MJF needs to stand tall over Cody once again
A feud that has been full of drama, intensity, and history. Yes, if you're gonna define the groundbreaking rivalry between MJF and Cody Rhodes, then this is probably the only way to do so.

MJF and Cody Rhodes initially started out as best friends in All Elite Wrestling and the duo almost had a mentor-apprentice relationship between them. However, all of that changed within a split second at last year's AEW Full Gear pay-per-view when Cody Rhodes stepped up and challenged Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship.
With MJF in his corner, Cody was fully prepared to get his hands on the AEW World Championship and in his way stood a veteran in the form of Chris Jericho. But, Cody's dream of winning the title wasn't to turn into reality, courtesy of MJF himself. With Cody struggling to break away from Jericho's submission holds, MJF decided to throw in the title (Deja Vu much?) and as a result, it led to Cody losing the match.

Well, here comes the interesting part, the post-match stipulation according to Cody was that if he had lost the match, he would never be allowed to challenge for the AEW World Championship again and MJF was on first-hand to shatter Cody's dreams. What led after, was a kick to the groin from MJF and a heel turn that everyone was just waiting to see.
Come AEW Revolution, a victory for MJF would be vital and would launch him into further stardom but not without controversy, as AEW needs to make sure that Cody loses the bout courtesy of heavy interference from Wardlow.
This could only lead to a rematch between the pair, this time with a stipulation (most preferably a 2 out of 3 falls match) at the upcoming Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
