5 things that should not happen in the Reigns-Styles feud

Following a brief exchange, Reigns is ready to see if Styles has what it takes to step in the ring with The Big Dog for the grandest prize in sports-entertainment.
Reigns and Styles on Smackdown

After what was clearly one of the major disappointments from Wrestlemania, WWE sort of redeemed itself when it comes to AJ Styles. He defeated Chris Jericho clean in the main event of Raw to finally become the number one contender to Reigns title. This comes after more than 3 months of his debut. The certainly ended the Raw after Mania on a high and gave the Shane McMahon run show some great momentum heading towards this week’s episode.

Now, that we’ve seen the beginning of the feud and Reigns displaying some great attitude, the upcoming weeks sure do seem promising.

Here are the 5 Things that should not happen in the Reigns-Styles feud

1). Another Authority Interference

Roman Reigns doesn't back down to the McMahon family ...
The Reigns- Authority storyline should take a break

As far as the storyline between The Authority and Roman Reigns goes, it should be over by now. And that’s seriously best for business. It’s been dragged along for so long, that it deserves the break. The real meat may be the burgeoning power struggle between Shane McMahon, who will return to Raw this week, and The Authority.

The Authority should just stop interfering and making their presence felt around Reigns. Both the champion and contender should be allowed to be by themselves.

2). No More Brotherly Love

And Can Reigns and Ambrose's friendship survive the chaos ahead?
Ambrose need not help Reigns get over anymore

Dean Ambrose has done so, so much to actually redeem Reigns in front of the audience. The company has used him so much to pass Reigns off as a great babyface. Ambrose should no longer be by his brother’s side.

He should be let to take care of his own matters and let the champion walk his own path and besides Reigns has been showing some heelish traits lately which can be seen in a much apparent fashion in the way he dealt with Sami Zayn on Raw and AJ Styles on Smackdown. It is time for the Roman Empire to stand on its own feet.

3). No More Frills

Shane O Mac shouldn’t be an outright supporter of Reigns

Now that Shane O Mac is back and will be running Raw for the second week on the trot, it’s a celebration in motion. But given the fact that Shane is the exact opposite of The Authority, it shouldn’t mean that he is a major supporter of Reigns.

The last thing we need is a powerful character backing up Reigns and putting him over majorly. Didn’t Shane mention in his many speeches that guys that do not get many chances will reign supreme during his time of running the show than the guys who get all the chances. Shane O Mac should be neutral in the case of his champion and not be a cheerleader.

4). No More Cookie Cutter

Reigns should not be John Cena Version 2

Reigns has really been doing a great job of not getting affected by the audience’s mostly negative reaction. In a way, he isn’t a villain but turning out to be quite an anti- hero. He’s not there to please anyone. This no two cents given attitude can really make him grow into a likeable character or atleast into an interesting one.

So, WWE, just don’t go ahead and make him like the second version of John Cena and talk about how he works hard for his fans who cheer him and that’s what keeps him going. Let him remain unaffected by the boos while still acknowledging them and frankly saying that he’s ‘The Guy’ and will remain so.

5). Bury Styles

The Phenomenal One prepares to compete on The Grandest Stage of Them All for the very first time.
Styles should remain phenomenal

Styles may be new in the WWE but he is in no way a rookie. He’s a veteran who’s won championships everywhere he’s gone. If anything this feud should do, even if it’s not a Styles victory, should be about how accomplished Styles is and how he’s not in the WWE to fade away.

Also, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson were seen backstage on many WWE shows, maybe there is a reunion of sorts for the Bullet Club. Styles may remain face or may turn heel but he should come out of this feud being phenomenal as always.
