John Cena won the title from AJ Styles in Royal Rumble 2017

John Cena has been the face of the company for the past 15 years. In those years he has been a 2 time Tag Team Champion, 5 time United States Champion and a record tying 16 time World Champion.

The last time he won the WWE Championship was at Royal Rumble 2017 where he defeated AJ Styles and tied Ric Flair's record for the most World Titles.

But since then, Cena has been losing constantly and has put his wrestling passion on a part-time schedule in favour of shooting films. He has got pinned clean more in the past three years than at anytime in his entire career. While that will not hurt his legacy, the part-time schedule will.

John Cena was last seen in a WWE ring at The Greatest Royal Rumble when he faced Triple H in April. Rumours are that he might miss SummerSlam due to his busy schedule. He might not be seen till October or November, so it is difficult for him to win a World Title (WWE or Universal) in a mere two months.

If he is able to appear at Survivor Series, he might face The Undertaker, and it is not possible for him to win the gold for the 17th time in a month.
