5 Things to expect from the 6th March episode of SmackDown Live

Fastlane Main Event
The Go-home show for FastLane

The next episode of SmackDown Live will emanate from the "Resch Center" in Green Bay, Wisconsin on 6th March 2018.

This week's episode will also be the go-home show for the Fastlane PPV scheduled to take place this Sunday. The blue brand will be looking to put on an entertaining show this Tuesday and continue the momentum from last week.

With all that in mind, let us look at the 5 things to expect from the March 6th episode of SmackDown Live.

#5 Final build up towards the not so entertaining feud between Charlotte Flair and Ruby Riott.

Charlotte vs Ruby
Not the match we wanted to see

The Riott Squad story is already getting stale and the SmackDown Women's Championship match at Fastlane looks even staler as there is no interest in this bout.

WWE is looking to shove this match down our throats by portraying it as a big deal moving towards WrestleMania. Since Asuka has not yet decided which champion she will face at WrestleMania, there is a 50% chance that "The Empress of Tomorrow" would choose to go after the blue brand's Women's Title.

Not taking anything away from Riott, but it looks like she has been put in the title picture too soon. With more credible opponents like Becky Lynch on the roster, it does not seem fitting to have Riott get the title opportunity.

We'll have to wait to find out what developments the WWE has in store for this feud, on this week's episode of SmackDown Live.

#4 Will Jinder Mahal be added to the US title match?

US Championship
Will the Modern Day Maharaja be added to the title match on Fastlane?

Randy Orton would be looking to capture the United States Championship which has eluded him in his legendary career on this Sunday at Fastlane.

This is a fresh feud which has the potential to carry SmackDown for the next few months as both Orton and Roode are highly talented professional wrestlers and a match between the two superstars would be very interesting to watch.

But it looks like Randy Orton is not the only one looking to capture the US title from Bobby Roode as it is highly possible that Jinder Mahal would also be added to the title match at Fastlane.

We can expect Mahal to be officially inserted into the US title match on this week's episode of SmackDown Live.

#3 Rusev taking on Shinsuke Nakamura

Rusev Day
It's Rusev Day

Rusev finally appeared on SmackDown Live after two weeks and the Rusev Day chants are a testimony that the crowd is completely behind the 'Bulgarian Brute'.

Last week, we saw the Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura take on Aiden English with Rusev standing in the latter's corner. During the match, Rusev would drop Nakamura with a kick to the head but that would not be enough as Nakamura eventually ended up winning the match.

We can expect Nakamura to face Rusev on this week's episode of SmackDown Live and we can almost hear the crowd chanting Rusev Day throughout the match.

#2 SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship picture

Bludgeon Brothers
Harper and Rowan have never looked better!

Jimmy and Jey are set to defend their SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships against "The New Day" this Sunday at Fastlane.

But it looks like Harper and Rowan, "The Bludgeon Brothers" would also be playing a key part in the Tag Team Title match at Fastlane. The show already has a six-pack challenge match for the WWE championship and a possible triple threat match for the United States Championship, so it is highly unlikely that WWE would do another multi-man match at Fastlane.

We can expect Harper and Rowan to interfere in the title match setting up a match for the title at WrestleMania 34. As far as this week's SmackDown Live episode is concerned, we can expect Rowan and Harper do the same thing they do each and every week and that is to come out destroy their opponents and leave.

#1 Final confrontation before the Six-Pack Challenge

The Six Pack Challenge
The final confrontation

WWE Champion AJ Styles will have the odds stacked against him as he will put his title on the line against 5 other superstars in a six-pack challenge this Sunday at Fastlane.

John Cena was added to the title match after he defeated AJ Styles in a fantastic match last week. The champion and the challengers will be looking to make a statement on this week's episode of SmackDown Live to build momentum before their match this Sunday.

We can expect Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon to channel their inner Teddy Long and make a six-man tag team match with John Cena, Dolph Ziggler and AJ Styles going against Baron Corbin, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn.
