Many had assumed that it would be Big E that won the dual-branded battle royal that took place during the Kickoff show, but it shouldn't come as a surprise that The Miz won the match, especially if you consider what a valuable asset he has been for WWE over the years.

Not only is he a steady hand, who never gets injured, but he also brings thousands of extra eyeballs to WWE with his reality show on the USA Network, and honestly, that's probably the reason why the company may want him to become the WWE Champion for a brief spell. And to showcase that he's in the same league as say, Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns, the company had him win the battle royal, albeit with some devious means.

However, if he does become the WWE Champion, we have no doubt that he'll only be a transitional Champion, because of the other heavyweights vying for the big prize.
