#2 Jeff's past
There's no way to sugar coat this - Jeff Hardy has had a number of drug related problems over the years. Whether it was his shambolic display at Victory Road 2011 against Sting or his wellness policy violations, WWE would rather you didn't bring up the reason why Jeff left the company way back in 2009.
Obviously, they've used this kind of thing in storylines before so some may argue that they aren't afraid of people knowing, but in this current era, WWE will want to once again push Jeff as a hero to kids around the world as that's what worked so well the first time round. Plus, it's not like they're going to be bringing up the infamous Punk feud anytime soon.
