Nia Jax is just over a week away from having the opportunity to become only the fourth woman to win the Money in the Bank contract. The former RAW Women's Champion only recently returned an ACL injury which she suffered following last year's WrestleMania.
Jax and Tamina Snuka were looking to become Women's Tag Team Champions when they competed in a fatal four-way match which also included The IIconics, The Boss & Hug Connection, and The Divas of Doom.
Since her return, The Irresistible Force has been able to pick up where she left off with a number of dominant displays that have helped her to book her place in the upcoming Money in the Bank ladder match.
#5. Nia Jax is close friends with Paige, uses her finisher
Nia Jax was known to be good friends with Alexa Bliss throughout her WWE career and two women have shared a number of memorable moments on WWE TV, including a WrestleMania match.
While it has become well known that Bliss and Jax were close outside of the ring, The Irresistible Force is also close friends with her fellow Total Divas star Paige. Jax and P are very close and walked together in The Birdiebee Fashion Show back in 2019. She was also present for the launch of Paige's own store.
The former Divas Champion was forced to retire from in-ring competition back in 2018 and has since become a regular guest star, but has obviously accepted the fact that she won't be able to wrestle on WWE TV again.
Upon Nia's return to WWE a few weeks ago, Paige revealed that she has given Nia her RamPaige finisher, which Jax now uses as her main match finisher.
#4. Mike Rome is her travel partner
As stated at the beginning of WWE's Ride Along show, the road for WWE superstars is never-ending. Even though at present the road only leads to the Performance Center, usually there is a new place for stars to travel following each live event.
Many superstars have their significant other to travel with, so the likes of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch or Aleister Black and Zelina Vega will often travel together, but the stars who are not part of couples have to make lasting friendships with other stars.
Nia Jax and Monday Night RAW ring announcer Mike Rome are very close friends and she has shared a number of posts that include Rome from her travels around the world, but it's not very well known that the two stars travel together as well.
Rome must have really missed Jax whilst she was out of action over the past year, since he would have been forced to find a new travel partner to keep him company.
#3. Nia Jax wasn't her original ring name
Nia Jax is a unique ring name and one that has allowed the Samoan star to flourish in WWE even though she was known as The Rock's cousin in her early years. Jax hasn't had it easy since she was billed as a monster before Ronda Rousey came in and took over the Women's Division.
The same issue has arisen with Shayna Baszler on RAW at present, but it appears that the company could be handling this much differently.
Whilst she will forever be known as Nia Jax to WWE fans, she debuted on NXT under a different name. The Irresistible Force tagged with the now released star Devon Taylor and took on the team of Carmella and Bayley, a match which Jax lost whilst under the ring name Zada.
Of course, she was repackaged and debuted as her current character a few weeks later. This allowed her to go on a dominant run in NXT, and after just a year in the developmental brand, she was promoted to the company's main roster.
#2. She has two dogs called Benji and Buster
Nia Jax is on the road with WWE for the best part of the year, something that has become the new normal for her ever since signing with WWE back in 2015. Whilst she doesn't have a partner back at home, she does have two dogs that she often updates about.
Jax calls her dogs Benji and Buster and has shared some very wholesome images of her animals on her Instagram page. She likes to dress up Benji and has shared images of him in various costumes at both Halloween and Christmas. He even dressed up as Alexa Bliss at one point to celebrate Halloween, which again shows how close Bliss and Jax are.
The former Champion has also revealed that the older of her two "fur babies" Buster is now a cancer survivor too. Jax updated an emotional post thanking the vets in California for helping Buster through his illness back in September 2019.
#1. Nia Jax came from humble beginnings
It's been well documented that Nia Jax is the cousin of The Rock but whilst the movie star is worth millions of dollars, it appears that she comes from a humble background.
The Irresistible Force herself revealed as part of an emotional Instagram post that she was forced to live in a motel while she was growing up for a while because her family was struggling for money. Jax revealed this in a post back in March 2018 when she was given the opportunity to return to the state where she grew up, but as part of a photoshoot in a mansion.
It was in California that Jax grew up with her mother, father, and two brothers and she was forced to learn the value of money from a young age.
Jax's emotional post proved how far the former RAW Women's Champion had come during the course of her career to be able to return to Escondido years later, but this time as a WWE Superstar.
