5 things you missed from SmackDown Live - November 28, 2017

"The Viper" was seen wearing his signature sadistic smile

SmackDown has been accustomed to delivering splendid shows and last Tuesday night was no different. The show commenced with a superb promo between the persons in charge, which set the tone for the rest of the night. Finally, the night concluded with the main event which was meticulously built up.

We are pleased to provide a few more key points which shouldn’t be missed by any wrestling fan.

#1 An unorthodox top rope suplex

In order to perform a top rope suplex, the counterparts first adjust their foot position. This is followed by the lift to achieve the feat. The sequence of these two things ensures a seamless shift of weight from the person receiving the suplex.

During the match, Randy Orton delivered a top rope suplex to Kevin Owens. However, one foot of both adversaries was still in the air as they commenced the move.

The above capture shows the positioning of the two wrestlers a moment later. It is visible that by the time both of their feet touched the ring post, the fall had already begun.

#2 The bone of contention

A rivalry in the making.
A rivalry in the making

Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon had a difference of opinion last Tuesday. Further, Daniel clearly stated that sometimes Shane’s temperament tends to get the better of Shane’s judgment.

Shane wasn’t convinced, but he reluctantly agreed with Daniel’s decision of not firing Owens and Zayn. Similar dissent has surfaced frequently in the last couple of months between them.

Notably, Daniel Bryan has expressed his willingness to compete again. This gives a vibe of the clash between these two at WrestleMania 34.There are still a couple of months left for the event, which can be used to further this rivalry.

If the match is made, it has the potential to steal the show at WrestleMania.

#3 Shades of Royal Rumble

Shades of Royal Rumble were empirically visible during the tag team match between The New Day and Gable-Benjamin.

Kofi Kingston used his legs to drag Shelton Benjamin over the top rope while Kofi held the ropes. Later, he pulled down the ropes to let Chad Gable go over the top rope with his own momentum. Both these manoeuvres would lead to elimination at the Royal Rumble match.

WWE Women’s locker room has never been as star-studded as it is currently. The various feuds at the Women’s Division is cementing the need for a Women’s Royal Rumble match.

Last Tuesday, Naomi had her face smashed into the steel steps owing to the violent actions of the Riott Squad. We saw similar take over from the Absolution on Raw earlier this week. Interestingly, both shows are coming up with a faction of three female Superstars each.

The current landscape of the Women’s division indicates that their rumble match will be a treat for the WWE Universe.

#5 Usos partying with the New Day

The Usos and The New Day went to war against each other for a significant part of this year. Their iconic match at Hell in a Cell PPV brought more honour to the tag team championships.

Both teams have officially expressed their mutual respect. Further, they were seen partying as New Day offered pancakes to the Samoan twins.

Bonus:

There is speculation that the Singh Brothers might drift away from Jinder Mahal after their fallout. The brothers lost to AJ Styles with Mahal at the ringside. However, the fall out appears more like “tough love” from the former WWE champion to ignite the fire in the hearts of the Singh Brothers.

Notably, Jinder Mahal will be touring India next week followed by his championship re-match at the Clash of Champions. However, his absence at the Survivor Series raised some questions about his current status at WWE.

Check out the “must know” points from the last episode of Raw.
