WWE Super ShowDown 2019 did not go exactly how Brock Lesnar had hoped.
After reneging on his promise to cash-in Money in the Bank on last week's RAW, the Beast seemed guaranteed a third Universal title reign in Jeddah, after confronting a downed Seth Rollins who had just retained against Baron Corbin.
A tiny trip-up by Paul Heyman was all it took though, as Rollins capitalised on the momentary distraction, flooring the Beast to escape Jeddah still Universal Champion. Though Lesnar is still the MITB contract holder, the Beast must be fuming, and may have some strong things to say about Rollins, and even his advocate tonight.
And after vanquishing Corbin and escaping Lesnar, the Beastslayer is without an opponent for the Universal title. Expect that to change tonight.
