5 things you should know about Brie Bella

Brie Bella seems to be enjoying her role outside the WWE ring for the time being. While she is still contracted to the company as an ambassador, her priority certainly lies with her husband, Daniel Bryan, and their child, Birdie.

While the former Divas Champion did not have much of an identity during the Bella Twins' 'Twin magic' days, she has certainly carved out some space for her in the WWE during her final few years in the company.

The innovator of the 'Brie mode' certainly distinguished herself from her sister and enjoys considerable crowd support, partly because of her relationship with Daniel Bryan.

#1 Brie's bear claw tattoo is dedicated to her ex-boyfriend

Brie Bella has a very distinctive bear claw tattoo on her lower stomach. She revealed on Total Divas that the tattoo is in memory of her ex-boyfriend.

Her childhood sweetheart passed away when she was only 18. Brie was clearly affected by the event and decided to ink a tattoo out of respect for him.

In preparation for her pregnancy, Brie chose to remove a fairy tattoo she had on her back but chose to keep the bear claw tattoo.

#2 Brie is an artist

In addition to her role in the WWE as a wrestler/ambassador, Brie Bella has a number of assignments. She and Nikki have a host of business ventures and they are not limited to starring in reality shows.

The duo has a YouTube channel called 'The Bella Twins', and also own a clothing company called Birdie Bee. In addition to all these, Brie is also an artist.

She has dabbled in finger painting and has numerous paintings to her credit.

#3 Brie and Nikki used to be World Cup Budweiser twins

The Bella Twins have quite a reputation as models. Their greatest modeling assignment came when they were signed up by beer giants Budweiser. As the official sponsors of the FIFA World Cup, Budweiser ran a campaign to promote the event.

The Bella Twins were the World Cup twins for Budweiser and were even photographed holding the World Cup trophy.

This wasn't Brie or Nikki's first involvement with football. While growing up in Scottsdale, Nikki and Brie were on the school football team. Football's loss became WWE's gain.

#4 She worked as a waitress

Born in San Diego, Brie Bella was supposed to go to college there. However, she was hell-bent on becoming a model and she relocated to Los Angeles within a year of starting college.

Her modeling career did not get off to the best of starts and she couldn't even find an agent to represent her for some time. During the time, Brie worked as a waitress to make ends meet.

This was way back in 2003 and she worked at the Mandarin Hotel in LA before an appearance on the FOX show 'Meet My Folks' gave her an entry into the world of show business.

#5 Brie dated a rock star

Before dating and marrying Daniel Bryan, Brie used to date guitarist Richie Kotzen. Kotzen is most famous for being part of the rock band Poison but also has had a successful solo career.

Brie and Kotzen dated for nearly five years before calling it quits. Brie went on to have a relationship with Bryan from 2013 and eventually, the two got married.

Kotzen is currently part of the band The Winery Dogs.
