Following the 2016 WWE Draft, Cesaro and Sheamus began a feud on WWE RAW. Both Superstars had been drafted to RAW at the end of the Draft. Cesaro defeated Sheamus in two consecutive matches, and the rivalry grew further. Mick Foley put the two in a best-of-seven series. The series ended in a 3-3 tie, with the last match ending in a no contest. The duo was given a RAW Tag Team title opportunity soon after.
At Roadblock: End Of The Line, Cesaro and Sheamus defeated The New Day to win their first Tag Team titles. The duo didn't look back and went on to win the Tag Team title belts on 5 different occasions, with one of them being a SmackDown Tag Team title run. Soon after WrestleMania 35, Sheamus got injured on an episode of SmackDown. Cesaro was drafted to RAW around the same time. He later announced that The Bar was history, because of Sheamus' injury. The Celtic Warrior has returned to active competition in early 2020, on the Blue brand.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
