With how disastrous Batista's last run in the WWE was, it's easy to forget that he was one of the most beloved WWE superstars of the noughties. He was one of the top guys in the company from the moment he turned on Triple H and left Evolution to pursue greatness in his singles career.
When he returned after years away as a movie star, though, the fans weren't willing to accept him as a fan favourite - especially considering he won the Royal Rumble that year. The WWE Universe mercilessly booed him until his departure.
