#3 Vince McMahon pranked Jonathan Coachman

Vince McMahon once took a prank so far that former commentator Jonathan Coachman legitimately thought he was getting arrested.

Speaking on his Something to Wrestle With podcast, WWE director Bruce Prichard revealed that Coachman was in charge of putting together a football betting pool amongst WWE Superstars and employees.

Prichard and WWE talent scout Gerald Brisco wanted to jokingly get Coachman arrested for gambling, which was illegal, so they got Vince McMahon involved in the prank.

“We go to Vince and say, 'Hey, we're doing this football pool. 'What the f*** is a football pool? You're going swimming? I don't get it.' He then says, 'OK, do it,' and everyone starts putting their two cents in. We literally set up this elaborate deal for them [police officers] to go, ‘Excuse me, Jonathan Coachman, yeah, you're under arrest.’” [H/T Wrestling Inc.]

The police officers took Coachman to Vince McMahon, who proceeded to yell at the commentator for interrupting him while he was trying to produce a television show.

Coachman was almost in tears, according to Prichard, and the scene was made even more amusing when Vince McMahon threw a lemon napkin over Coachman’s wrists to stop people from seeing that he was handcuffed.

The police began to take Coachman away before quickly driving back to the building, where they let him off the hook in front of a group of WWE employees.
