Whether it's WWE, WCW, IMPACT Wrestling, NJPW, ROH, AEW, or any other company, professional wrestling has always held a strong footing in the land of pop culture. Because of that, we'll often see wrestlers appear outside of the squared circle.

You can find various performers in all kinds of movies, TV shows, and even music videos of their favorite bands. Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair showed up on Baywatch, Macho Man Randy Savage stole the show in Spider-Man, and more.

Today, we'll be taking a look at some of those stars and the bands or singers they partnered with. As a bonus, here's a video of the late WWE Hall of Famer Ultimate Warrior beating up Phil Collins.

There's something therapeutic about watching the former WWF/WWE Champion beat the absolute snot out of Phil Collins. But without further ado, let's look at the five Superstars who have appeared in music videos over the years.

#5 WWE Superstar Finn Balor attacks Miles Kane in "Cry On My Guitar"

Not only was the name of Finn Balor's finisher, "Coup de Grace," used as the album name for Miles Kane's 2018 album, but the Prince also appeared in a music video for the single "Cry On My Guitar."

Kane stated that the inaugural WWE Universal Champion was his favorite professional wrestler, and was excited to have him on board.

In the video, Balor served as the villain, battering Kane around an apartment complex. It was released two years ago, but definitely looks like the Finn Balor we know in NXT today as opposed to the man we saw on Monday Night RAW for a few years.

The clues were right in front of our eyes the entire time.

#4 Pharrell Williams makes the world "Happy" with Kazuchika Okada and WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura made a surprise appearance in one of the most viral sensations in the last decade. Pharell Williams had a huge hit with the 2013 release of "Happy," a song that was originally introduced to the world with the movie, Despicable Me 2. However, with the song and subsequent music video getting such a huge surge in popularity, it was later re-released on his second studio album, Girls.

To coincide with the release of the original single, there was a "24 Hours of Happy" presentation where Pharrell along with dozens of celebrities appeared, dancing and miming along to the song.

Not as well known as the official music video that, currently, holds 654 million views on YouTube, one segment in the "24 Hours of Happy" project gave us some cameos from the then IWGP Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada.

The current WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion danced around for a few moments, as only he could, while the Rainmaker basked in his own glory as Okada bucks rained down from the sky. It was a pretty great easter egg for wrestling fans.

#3 WWE Legend The Rock and Wyclef Jean remind you "It Doesn't Matter"

The legendary former WWE Champion and movie star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was seemingly at the peak of his popularity in 2000. One of the most successful and exciting Superstars in the company's history at the time, he was a pop culture icon. Little did we know that was only the tip of the iceberg for him.

Wyclef Jean and hip-hop duo Melky Sedeck teamed up with The Rock to bring "It Doesn't Matter" to the world, using the Great One's iconic catch phrase in the chorus of the song. The future WWE Hall of Famer appeared several times throughout the video, shutting down Wyclef Jean several times.

The amount of records sold, the jewelry, all the awards won by Wyclef, none of that mattered to The Rock. Of course, that didn't stop the future box office star from saving Wyclef from a beatdown near the end of the video.

#2 Bowling for Soup send a love letter to former WWE Women's Champion Alexa Bliss

It's pretty common for most people to become smitten by The Goddess of WWE, Alexa Bliss. The multi-time Women's Champion quickly rose to stardom, and her beautiful looks and incredible in-ring ability awarded her quite a dedicated fanbase.

She made such an impression on the world, that she even captured the hearts of iconic pop-punk band Bowling for Soup.

Unlike most of the videos on this list, the band's song "Alexa Bliss" is an ode to one of the top competitors in WWE, starting out with the chance meeting the band had with her one day.

"Why can't every girl be more like Alexa Bliss? How could a chick on TV make me feel like this? She's got a finishing move called Twisted Bliss and it's like my heart is caught in a sleeper hold."

We know how you feel, guys. Bliss even took part in the video, which was a wacky spoof of the 80's film Weird Science. It's a peppy introduction to Bliss for those not in the know, and an experience any dedicated WWE fan needs to witness at least once.

#1 WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman makes a short appearance for Avenged Sevenfold

While he may not have had a big part in the video, WWE Superstar Braun Strowman did show up for a few moments when Avenged Sevenfold tried their hand at covering an all-time classic, "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd.

The band released it back in 2017 as part of the deluxe edition of their seventh studio album, The Stage. It's an emotional track and shows the group working on things in the studio, meeting fans and friends backstage, and putting on live performances.

The WWE Universal Champion is a big fan of Avenged Sevenfold, and the band even posted a picture of him and his former-mentor-turned-enemy Bray Wyatt on Instagram a few years back.

It's kind of sad to see what's happened to Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt. Though The Fiend seems to be on a path of destruction, maybe Strowman could calm him down with their mutual appreciation of Avenged Sevenfold.

Either that, or WWE will have a new Universal Champion soon.
