The New Day made its WWE debut as a team in 2014, and the group has held the tag team championships several times. Kofi Kingston also won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 when KofiMania took over the biggest show of the year.

This past October, the New Day's six-year long run as a team came to an end when the trio was split up in the WWE Draft. Big E stayed on SmackDown, where he is now the Intercontinental Champion, but Xavier Woods and Kingston were moved over to RAW.

When Kingston and Woods left SmackDown last year, the trio was honored with a farewell match. There, the members of the New Day officially said farewell to one another, as they had to adjust to the fact that their days as a three-man team were over.

Following the match, all three men became emotional backstage. Many fans knew how close the trio had become, so it was a tear-jerking moment to see WWE split the best friends up.
