Most tag teams in wrestling, even today, comprise two (or more) guys with a similar style - the team of brawlers, the team of high flyers, whatever. But one of the best tag teams of all time broke that rule, pairing a technical grappler with a bruising powerhouse which became known as the Hart Foundation.

The Hart Foundation was started in 1985 when Bret Hart was turned heel and teamed with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, who was being managed by "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart. The Hart foundation may best be known for the continuing feud and incredible matches with The British Bulldogs.

The pair were a hit as a tough heel team. They won the World tag team championship twice in their run, and fought in some of the most memorable matches of the '80s. They had a lot of achievements that made them successful which included a good manager, color coordination, a good name and gimmick.

It's a type of chemistry that can only be formed by years of being around each other, training with each other, and forming a bond that can never be broken. Combine their incredible chemistry, wrestling ability, collaborative styles, and the adoration they received from fans worldwide, there's no reason why the Hart Foundation isn't the best there was and ever will be.
