Sometimes, it is easy to forget but Kevin Owens was a Universal Champion not very long ago. In fact, many have called his reign the best one ever, in the title's illustrious history. Brock Lesnar's title reign has held the Championship captive. The other winners have all been mere placeholders with extremely short-lived reigns.
Kevin Owens came back for the match at WWE Fastlane and since then, WWE has not known what to do with him. He's the host of the Kevin Owens show and generally does get featured on TV, but I don't think WWE can wrap their heads around the idea of Kevin Owens as a babyface. And therefore, he's not even in a program for WrestleMania 35.
I honestly wonder why Kevin Owens came back to action at all. It just seems like there's no role for him at the moment.
