Wrestling requires each individual to work on their strength and physique in order to become as good and powerful as they possibly can while staying athletic and agile.

We've seen many wrestlers who have weighed over 400lbs, while wrestlers such as Yokozuna, Big Show, and Andre the Giant have even surpassed that mark at the cost of agility.

On the other hand, many big men such as Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens are extremely agile even at higher weights which makes them extraordinary athletes.

Most of the WWE wrestlers who weigh less than 205 pounds can be found on their cruiserweight brand called 205 Live. However, there are quite a few wrestlers who perform under that weight on the NXT, SmackDown Live, and Raw brands.

We've made a list of five such extremely successful men who have not let their lower weight become an obstacle for their success, and perform at par or even better than other heavier weight wrestlers. With that in mind, take a look at five top WWE superstars who weigh less than 205lbs.

#5 Tyler Bate - 175lbs

At just 21-years-old, Tyler Bate has achieved what many even at 40 can only dream of. The young man currently performs on the NXT UK brand where he is a former WWE United Kingdom Champion and NXT Tag Team Champion.

His win at age 19 made him the youngest singles champion at the time, and youngest inaugural champion in WWE history and one of only two wrestlers in history to win a championship as a teenager - the other being René Duprée.

These are just some of the accomplishments of a superstar who started wrestling at 15 and has already won numerous championships with other wrestling promotions.

At just 175lbs, wrestlers his height and weight are usually restricted to the cruiserweight division of every promotion. However, Tyler Bate is a talent which can even beat the heaviest and best men in the business convincingly, and hence has risen to such great heights so early in his career.

#4 Ricochet - 188lbs

Currently performing on the NXT brand, Ricochet is the current NXT North American Champion in his first reign.

The 30-year-old superstar has been performing for over 15 years and has travelled all over the world to showcase his undeniable talent. He signed with the WWE early last year and has already established himself as one of the company's biggest stars, especially on the NXT brand where other big names such as Adam Cole, Aleister Black, and Pete Dunne exist.

Ricochet has performed under different names with so many wrestling promotions that we've now lost count, yet he's managed to win at least one championship with each - a remarkable feat for the little man.

Weight has never hindered the high-flying superstar who performs the most acrobatic moves inside and outside the ring and surprises us with his insanely unique talent.

#3 Johnny Gargano - 199lbs

Marginally making the cut for the criteria of this list, Johnny Gargano is one man who needs no introduction.

He has become one of the faces of developmental brand NXT and continues to be one of the company's best wrestlers. While WWE usually prefers to push tall and heavy men who they can call giants and monsters, Gargano is one man who doesn't need to rely on his size to overcome the odds.

Gargano has won numerous championships before making his way into WWE and is a one-time NXT Tag Team Champion for the company. However, he's yet to win a singles championship within the company but will surely do so in the coming years. He's a top act and his size hasn't stopped him from becoming the best in the business while competing with men of all sizes.

#2 Mustafa Ali - 182lbs

From the cruiserweights to the big leagues

Previously performing on 205 Live, Mustafa Ali is a unique talent who was spotted by the WWE a bit late, but we're thankful that they did spot him. Ali has finally gotten the push to the main roster and is already competing with the big boys of SmackDown Live.

Ali uses a high flying style of wrestling. His finishing manoeuvre is an imploding 450 Splash named the 054 Splash. This is greatly helped by his lighter weight which allows him better balance and more agility.

Ali has been successful on-and-off in the past but is yet to win gold in the WWE as yet. However, it appears as though he's moving onto greater things and could go onto score his first WWE title sooner rather than later. The superstar is of mixed Pakistani and Indian descent, and could potentially go onto changing his gimmick into one which actively promotes peace between the two nations.

#1 Finn Balor - 190lbs

The lightest Universal Champion of all-time only weighs 190lbs. The main reason is that he's extremely fit and shredded, which helps him to maintain his unique look.

Sculpted like an action figure, Finn Balor is one of the main roster's best wrestlers and is loved by most of the WWE Universe. He hasn't found as much success in the WWE as he deserves, though he could still go on to make it big sooner than later for the company.

Balor has previously performed for a few promotions, and his Bullet Club has been one of the most recognisable factions in the wrestling world. He has further gone on to create his own Balor club within the WWE too!

Finn's weight helps him perform some extraordinary moves and become a real threat to his opponents since he's both very agile and extremely talented.
