5 underrated moments from WWE Clash Of Champions 2017

Ch
The look on Daniel Bryan's face tells a huge story

WWE's Clash Of Champions 2017 was a pretty wild ride and capped off the year in a big way. But of course, as with any big event, there are bound to be things that people might have missed on first viewing or even if they did see them it might not have registered how important of a moment it was.

Clash Of Champions told a lot of stories for WWE's Blue Brand, but we've picked five things that might be considered underrated in the grand scheme of things.

5: Mojo Rawley's squash match

<p>

Although the Hype Bros never really got off on the right foot on the main roster to achieve the heights they might have been capable of, it looks like Mojo Rawley is going to capitalize on the team's disbanding in a big way.

The kickoff show is usually something people can skip without missing much. But, at Clash Of Champions Mojo Rawley had a chance to demonstrate a new side of himself and it was rather brutal.

Rawley could be on his way to a big push on SmackDown Live in 2018, if this showing against Zack Ryder was any indication of things.

4: Daniel Bryan's bump... kinda

Did you
Did you see Bryan get pushed?

Daniel Bryan wants to be cleared for an in-ring return so very badly, but, it seems WWE keeps holding his medical clearance out like a carrot on a stick for the Bearded GOAT to chase. Clash Of Champions saw a rare occurrence with Daniel Bryan getting in the ring during an actual match, however, he was wearing referee's attire.

During the match, Daniel Bryan kind of took a bump when he was pushed on to Shane McMahon while Vince McMahon's baby boy was making a count. This spot might not have looked hard to take, and in reality, it was probably a walk in the park for Daniel Bryan. But for a guy on the "do not touch under any circumstance" list, it could be looked at as a much bigger deal.

If the physicality surrounding Daniel Bryan continues to mount, who knows how far it will go in time?

3: The Bludgeon Brothers

Did you catch
Did you catch this short encounter

For a pay-per-view that ran short, Clash Of Champions certainly had a match on the card that ended quickly. But that's what The Bludgeon Brothers do. Harper and Rowan like to show up, beat people senseless, execute a Double Crucifix Bomb, and then they call it a night.

Breezango might have had the best intentions going into this encounter but everything they tried ended up working against them. It was an impressive display from the former Wyatt Family brethren in their first pay-per-view under the Bludgeon Brothers gimmick.

Harper and Rowan's match at Clash Of Champions might have been short, but it should be looked at as a wake-up call for any tag team on the SmackDown Live roster. The only questions are who will stop them and how will WWE book these two once they finally taste defeat?

2: Carmella almost cashed in

She was close, b
She was close, but it didn't happen at Clash Of Champions

During the Lumberjack match between Natalya and Charlotte for the SmackDown Women's Title, there were many moments when things got out of hand. Bodies were flying all over the place and Charlotte Flair took a rather intense beating throughout the match.

But during the melee, Carmella had a chance to sneak in the ring with her Money In The Bank briefcase. She tried to cash in her contract but Miss Money In The Bank was quickly removed from the ring by the rest of the women in the match. Apparently, they didn't like the idea of her cashing in, while they were around.

Therefore, Carmella will likely keep moonwalking with her Money In The Bank briefcase into the new year. But it seems like only a matter of time before The Princess Of Staten Island cashes in her contract for a guaranteed title shot.

1: It was Rusev and Chad Gable Day

Ruyse
Rusev came to crush and Gable came to impress

The Boston crowd inside the TD Garden was very loud during the SmackDown Tag Team Title match and much of the cheering was for one man: Rusev. The Rusev Day chants were huge and Aiden English has never received such a positive reaction before during his run on the WWE main roster. Usually when he asks people if they'd like to hear another song people boo English, but he received the opposite reaction at Clash Of Champions

The crowd was very hot for Rusev and as the match carried on, that support continued. But Chad Gable's performance was outstanding and wowed many Bostonians as well and garnered a ton of praise in the process.

This might have been a breakout match for both Chad Gable and Rusev as they recieved outstanding ovations during their match. But in the end, The Usos still walked away with their SmackDown Tag Team Championships to keep the entire division on lockdown.
