5 Underrated WWE and pro wrestling streaks that you may have totally forgotten about

WWE had had many memorable streaks in its storied history
WWE had had many memorable streaks in its storied history

No, we are not here to talk about how The Undertaker stood tall in WrestleMania after WrestleMania, establishing himself as the most dominant performer in the annual WWE marquee event from year to year. Neither are we going to talk about Asuka, who was the most dominant performer in the NXT brand and brought her undefeated streak over to WWE RAW as well, before she eventually lost to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania.

We will not mention Goldberg as well, who was the face of WCW during the Monday Night Wars, taking on WWE in the 90s with a string of successive victories in a row. What we are here to discuss are 5 very underrated streaks that may have entirely slipped your mind, ladies and gentlemen of the WWE Universe.

So, with that in mind, here is my list of names. As always, feel free to chime in, in the comments section below.

#5 Tatanka's undefeated WWE streak in the early 90s

Tatanka did not always win his WWE matches in the same dominant manner that Goldberg did, but win he did during his run from 1991 to 1993. He would be presented as a star who represented his Native American roots, and he was also recognized for his war cry, something that was over with wrestling fans at the time. He wore his tradition with pride and remained undefeated until Ludvig Borga came along.

Tatanka would have a successful run in WWE even after this, coming back to the company in 2005. In fact, he was even a part of the WWE roster at WrestleMania 32, competing in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

So many years later, WWE fans from the 90s remember and cherish his streak with fondness.

#4 Muhammad Hassan's controversial WWE run

Muhammad Hassan has found his footing as a school principal after his career in WWE ended due to circumstances that were extremely unfortunate. As he revealed in the latest Instalment of UnSKripted with Chris Featherstone on the Sportskeeda Facebook page, he was all poised to become the youngest World Champion in WWE history.

And so, WWE would bring in Muhammad Hassan with the ultimate fanfare, presenting and unleashing a very controversial character upon the world who attracted the entire of the entire WWE Universe at the time. He embarked on an 'unpinned' streak that would stretch for many months until John Cena pinned him to end it, as can be seen in the video above.

Muhammad Hassan's character had to be taken off television, in light of the London Bombings and WWE had no choice but to end the career of one of the most promising superstars in the entire pro wrestling business.

Who knows how great the man could have been, had Muhammad Hassan been allowed to stay on WWE television for longer?

#3 The Fabulous Moolah (much more than a mere WWE streak)

The Fabulous Moolah became a member of the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame (WWF at the time) in the year 1995, becoming the first female performer to gain the distinction. And why wouldn't Vince McMahon and WWE confer such a massive honor upon her, considering that she held the NWA World Women's Championship for 28 years?

Yes, there were others who held the Championship in the interim period, but in WWE lore, The Fabulous Moolah held the Championship uninterrupted from 1956 to 1984, when she finally dropped the title to Wendi Richter. Before her name became mired in controversy, WWE even announced a 'Fabulous Moolah Battle Royal' at WrestleMania 34, before the name had to be changed when stories of per misdeeds came to the surface.

We are not here to talk about what she may have done outside the ring, but to remember that, like her or not, The Fabulous Moolah is a very important figure when it comes to the history of women's wrestling.

#2 Bo Dallas' initial WWE push

Bo-lieve it or not, Bo Dallas wasn't always Bray Wyatt's overlooked brother, if you were to look at his credentials. In fact, in case you are not aware, Bo Dallas is a former NXT Champion and even received a massive push when he finally arrived in the WWE main roster. In fact, the talented young man picked up a whole bunch of victories before he would be pinned by R-Truth in 2014.

Unfortunately, WWE gave up on Bo Dallas who would have interesting stints as a member of The Social Outcasts, The Miztourage, and then the B-Team, but he never managed to reach the same level of success as his brother.

Fortunately, he is signed to WWE even after the recent spate of releases and one can only hope that WWE realizes what a goldmine they have in Dallas. One just cannot forget that Bo Dallas was the third-ever WWE NXT Champion and that at one point in time, he was hailed to be the future, as can be judged from this winning streak.

#1 Curt Hawkins and his memorable WWE losing streak

Unfortunately, Curt Hawkins is no longer a part of the current WWE roster as the man had been released in April as part of the budget cuts. The most significant thing that Curt Hawkins did during his most recent run, in WWE is the 'losing' streak that he was a part of not long ago.

Curt Hawkins would lose match after match after match, to the point where he lost 269 matches in a row. He would maintain in the video linked above, that WWE put out after a string of losses, that he was genuinely trying to win every match that he was in.

Curt Hawkins would team up with Zack Ryder and the two men would come together, well into their run, to score a major victory over The Revival at WrestleMania 35. They would become the RAW Tag Team Champions, ending the losing streak.

One really wonders if Curt Hawkins will show up at Slammiversary this year, to continue his pro-wrestling career in Impact Wrestling.
