Did we mention that John Cena is a big name in Hollywood now? Well, he will be starring alongside one of the greatest actors ever in this one.
Previously titled Ex-Baghdad, Project X-Traction will see our very own Doctor of Thuganomics play the role of a former U.S. Marine, Chris Van Horne.
Cena will be seen helping Jackie Chan, who plays the role of a Chinese private security contractor, Luo Feng, extract oil workers after a Chinese-run oil refinery is attacked in Mosul, Iraq. The two must also foil a bid by the attackers to steal a fortune in oil from the refinery.
We’ve already seen Cena talk a lot about his experience working with Chan, and how he has helped him learn a lot. Cena has also applied a few moves he learned from Chan in his in-ring work recently.
The movie was set to release in 2019 but was later delayed due to some post-production issues. It is expected to release some time late this year or early next year.
Apart from that, Cena is also set to play an undisclosed role in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie which is set to release on August 6, 2021.
