The Chris Jericho vs Cody bout was booked at AEW Full Gear given Cody's win/loss record in All Elite Wrestling, the idea is that future title shots will be determined based on a record of wins vs other methods of determining number one contenders.

Another way AEW can differentiate itself from other wrestling promotions is by enforcing consequences for talents who seek disqualifications in title matches.
In most promotions, a title cannot change hands via disqualification, but if AEW chooses to do things differently, the company could alter the way fans perceive DQ's in pro wrestling title bouts.
