Lesnar retained the title this year against Finn Balor

The Royal Rumble is one of the big four pay per views of the year, sharing the limelight alongside WrestleMania, Survivor Series and Summerslam.

Over the years, Lesnar has accomplished plenty at the January event, including winning his first Rumble match in 2003, a match that he qualified for earlier that same night with a victory over the Big Show.

The following year, Lesnar retained the WWE Championship and retained the Universal title at the event twice, in 2018 and 2019.

Seen as the starting point on the road to WrestleMania, Lesnar could certainly make his move into prominence if he was to cash in at the Rumble, especially if it was on a beloved world champion.

And with Lesnar reportedly furious after not main-eventing WrestleMania 35, cashing in at the Rumble would practically guarantee the final match on the Mania card.
