5 Ways WWE can increase the hype around WrestleMania 32

Wrestlemania
It is almost here!

WrestleMania 32 is the WWE’s biggest event of the year. Fans are are generally excited for the most electrifying event in sports entertainment. But, if the recent ratings and audience reactions are to go by, the creative team really needs to get it acts together.

Boring promos, lack of buildup, overuse of the supposed future face of the Company, storylines that have a lot of holes and are to hard make sense of, and to top it all, the apparent non-inclusion of superstars such as the Wyatt Family.

With still over a week to go for the biggest event in sports entertainment, there's a lot WWE can do add more excitement to the event. Here are 5 ways WWE can increase the hype around WrestleMania 32.

Make the Triple H-Roman Reigns match more interesting

HHH Reigns
The Rock could add some spice into this battle

Alright, Triple H and Roman Reigns aren’t exactly rivals, the original plan was not to have Roman Reigns face Triple Hat WrestleMania. But, circumstances have led to this and the WWE should try to make the most out of it. Beat downs are not the only way to sell a match.

Reigns can be aggressive, he’s shown that, but unlike Triple H, he lacks charisma, is absolutely terrible with the microphone and it’s just awkward for everyone, including himself when he tries to deliver punchlines and says stuff like “dawg.”

But do you know who is absolutely electrifying with the microphone? Yes, I’m talking about The Rock. Bringing The Rock into the equation will get fans excited. We thought we’d see a feud between The Rock and Triple H again after last year’s WrestleMania, but that didn’t materialise.

The Rock is going to make an appearance, albeit a non-wrestling one, but he is the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. It is quite plausible that The Great One will be on Reigns’ side since they are cousins.

Not only that, The Game and The Brahma Bull go way back. Who doesn’t remember their feuds in the past? The Rock’s intervention in the feud could give way to another feud between The People’s Champion and the King of Kings.

Another legend who can make an appearance, but on The Game’s side, is Shawn Michaels. Although the Heartbreak Kid has denied offers to return in the past, Mr WrestleMania might find it hard to resist an offer to make an appearance at the AT&T Stadium on 3 April.

Speaking of The Game, have they forgotten that he’s The Cerebral Assassin? What happened to his mind games? If one takes a look at his past feuds, The Cerebral Assassin has been a master with mind games.

He’s been known to go to any depths to win and we hope that this time, it won’t be any different. A threat to his blood or his friends could go help The Game get inside the former Shield member’s head, and from there on The Game will do what he does best.

Inclusion of more members of the McMahon family in the power struggle

The Mcmahons
A happy family

The return of Shane McMahon and the announcement that he will face The Undertaker at WrestleMania has got the WWE Universe excited. However, there are several reasons why this match doesn’t make a lot of sense. You can read more about that here.

The article already talks about how Triple H is completely missing from the entire angle and other such things that seem to suck the sense out of the match. We seem to have forgotten about one important member of the McMahon family, Linda McMahon. She’s Shane’s mother for crying out loud. Wouldn’t it make sense for them to include her in the power struggle too? And not mention, Stephanie has been sidelined too. What exactly was the deal between Shane and his father?

She can either play the role of a pacifier or surprise anyone and join Shane’ side and add a whole new twist to the feud. If not anything, it would, at least, make sense if the mother got involved in a feud between her husband and her son.

What about the Wyatt Family?

The Wyatts
The Wyatt family

WWE fans are irked at the apparent exclusion of the Wyatt Family from WrestleMania. Why does one of the most dominant factions today not have a match at the biggest WWE pay-per-view event of the year?

Following the previous SmackDown, it’s fair to say that they’re seriously building a feud between Brock Lesnar and the Wyatt Family. However, what about his angle with the Lunatic Fringe? Will they be forced to forge an alliance to face them?

I hope all of them are not added to the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Braun Strowman may be added for his size and strength and to give Big Show some competition but Bray Wyatt and Erik Rowan don’t deserve that.

Entering that won’t really help their careers. But given the recent promo where he mentioned a beast, a reaper, and a king, he might a have a role to play in the biggest stage of them all.

To cut it down, the beast obviously refers to Brock Lesnar, the reaper accordingly is the Undertaker, and the king could only be Triple H. But what exactly does he mean? What does he know that we don’t? It’s highly improbable that he’ll interfere in all three matches. I really do hope that the guys at WWE really build on this well. The cryptic message really had us thinking and now we can’t wait to see what’s going to happen.

Let’s hope the WWE does give them important roles to play at WrestleMania 32.

AJ Styles v Chris Jericho

Jericho Styles
Not a tag team anymore

This match has to be a go. This is one of the feuds we have all been looking forward to. Chris Jericho is already a WWE legend and AJ Styles, even with all the reputation behind him has to make a name for himself here. Beating Chris Jericho at WrestleMania would be the perfect way to start.

Chris Jericho feels that AJ Styles is stealing is thunder and with all the comparisons between them, this match will surely make add more excitement to the event.

What’s more, It could be a Submission Match. Everyone in the WWE Universe knows Chris Jericho is a submission specialist, his Lion Tamer and Walls of Jericho have made scores of Wrestlers tap out.

But AJ Styles is no stranger to submission manoeuvres, his Calf Crusher (earlier known as Calf Killer) is a lethal submission hold. The name had to be changed as according to the guys at WWE, it wasn’t PG friendly.

It also has been a while since we saw a submission match in the WWE, these two superstars would be perfect for it.

Sting

Sting
The Icon could really bump up the ratings for Mania

As soon as Sting officially announced that he hadn't retired, WWE fans went into a frenzy. Speculations arose as to whether Sting will have a role to play at WrestleMania 32 or not. Well, Sting is going to be at the AT&T Stadium for the Hall of Fame ceremony, so it’s only a fair assumption that The Icon will make an appearance at WrestleMania 32. We haven’t seen as much of Sting as we’d hoped, but now that there’s hope for his return, things seem to have become exciting.

There were reports that The Icon wanted to face The Phenom at WrestleMania 32 since that’s not going to happen, there should be something else in store for him.

He could make a sensational interference in the Shane McMahon vs The Undertaker match at WrestleMania 32, thus sparking a legendary, exciting and of the most anticipated feuds in pro-wrestling history.

What Vince said won’t really matter once Shane comes to power so, we might just see The Deadman go head to head against the Vigilante at next year’s WrestleMania.

This will also put The Authority out of power, thus bringing in Triple H into the equation as well. He has been instrumental in The Authority losing power before. Will he do it again? Teasing Sting’s return in one of the upcoming episodes will go a long way in increasing the hype around WWE’s biggest event of the year, WrestleMania.
