5 ways Team SmackDown LIVE can stop Braun Strowman at Survivor Series

How do you solve a problem like Braun Strowman?

Monday Night Raw General Manager, Kurt Angle, and SmackDown LIVE Commissioner, Shane McMahon, are set to do battle at Survivor Series as the yearly battle for brand supremacy will take place.

It looked like Shane had the upper hand after he led the SmackDown LIVE roster to lay Monday Night RAW under siege, attacking the RAW locker room backstage and leaving a very strong message.

However, after finding out he'd be captaining the Men's 5 vs 5 Survivor Series match himself, with his job on the line, Angle seems to have turned the tables in his favour, simply by adding one man to his team - Braun Strowman "The Monster Among Men".

How are Shane McMahon and the rest of his SmackDown LIVE team going to stop Braun Strowman? Well, I've come up with five ways that the blue brand can neutralise their opponent's biggest (literally) threat.

#5 Kane

Is Kane finished with Braun Strowman yet?
Is Kane finished with Braun Strowman yet?

It looked like we were building towards a potential match between the two 'Monsters' of Monday Night RAW after Kane turned on Braun Strowman at TLC 2017 and then cut a promo on "The Monster Among Men" the following night on RAW.

However, when Strowman returned, he set his sights on The Miz and The Miztourage and has now been announced as a member of Team RAW at Survivor Series, meaning a clash with 'The Big Red Machine' will likely have to wait until after Survivor Series.

Unless it doesn't have to wait. It's clear that Kane and Braun Strowman have unfinished business and with Kane likely not having anything else to do at Survivor Series it seems more than possible that 'The Devil's Favourite Demon' will interfere in the Survivor Series match and eliminate Strowman, making life easier for SmackDown LIVE.

#4 RKO out of nowhere

Could the RKO bring down 'The Monster Among Men?'
Could the RKO bring down 'The Monster Among Men?'

When you look at the current SmackDown LIVE team it looks a bit lacking in the size department, with no-one really looking like they'd be more than a match for Braun Strowman physically.

In a one-on-one fight with Smackdown's team comprising of Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton and Shane McMahon, one has to admit that Braun Strowman would be fancied to come out on top against most of them.

Except for maybe Randy Orton. That's because Orton has one tool at his disposal that can be used to address the size advantage and equalise it: Randy's finishing move, the RKO. We've seen Randy hit his patented finisher 'out of nowhere' to bring down a big man several times and maybe he can use it again to stop Strowman.

#3 Another vehicular manslaughter attempt

WWE Superstars seem to like attempting to murder Braun Strowman with vehicles. There have been two attempts to bring down "The Monster Among Men" with vehicles, and yet neither of them have kept Strowman down for long.

First of all, Roman Reigns trapped Strowman inside the back of an ambulance and then crashed the ambulance into a truck at great speed. The fire crew had to cut Strowman out of the mangled wreckage but miraculously he walked away without any help.

Then, during TLC 2017, Kane, The Miz and the BAR trapped Strowman inside the back of a second vehicle, this one being a trash compactor. They then activated the trash compactor in an attempt to crush Strowman, but he returned a week later to seek his revenge.

Maybe the SmackDown LIVE team can get someone to try a plain old fashioned hit-and-run before their Survivor Series match, or they could lock Strowman in the trunk of a car. Maybe that'll keep him away long enough.

#2 Gang up on the big man

If all of Team SmackDown works together, they might stop Braun Strowman
If all of Team SmackDown works together, they might stop Braun Strowman

It may be true that no single man on Team SmackDown LIVE can match up to Braun Strowman in the ring, but what if every single member of Team SmackDown teamed up against the big man, would that be enough to stop him?

At this point, if Strowman can survive being compacted like trash, I'm not too sure what can stop him, but I'm willing to bet that a Coast to Coast followed by an RKO followed by a Kinshasa followed by a Glorious DDT will get just about as close as you can get to taking Strowman down.

We've seen this tactic used before to stop big men like The Great Khali, or The Big Show, usually during the Royal Rumble where everyone works together to eliminate the biggest threat.

#1 Braun Strowman turns his back on Team RAW

It wasn't so long ago that Kurt Angle and Braun Strowman weren't friends

Even though it seems that Braun Strowman has turned face following the events of TLC 2017, and his return on Monday Night RAW where he terrorised The Miz, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas, what if he walks out, or turns on his RAW teammates.

After all, Strowman was competing in a match against the General Manager of Monday Night RAW, Kurt Angle, when he was compacted in the trash compactor, so maybe his Survivor Series teammate Angle is the last name on his list for revenge.

It would be a shocking move so soon after his apparent face turn, but having Strowman turn on Angle and walk out would definitely help to tip things in SmackDown LIVE's favour and potentially cost Kurt Angle his job.
