5 Ways WWE can book Roman Reigns' WWE RAW return

What will WWE have planned for Roman Reigns' return?
What will WWE have planned for Roman Reigns' return?

Roman Reigns relinquished the WWE Universal Championship in August last year and left WWE, after announcing that his leukemia was in remission in one of the most emotional episodes of RAW in recent years.

Reports surfaced earlier this week that Reigns had started training for his in-ring return. We also learned that Reigns will be returning to RAW this week even though we don't know what WWE's plans for him are.

With that being said, it's time for some speculation. With WrestleMania almost around the corner at this point, let's take a look at what WWE may have planned for Roman Reigns om RAW.

DISCLAIMER: We're assuming that Roman Reigns has been cleared to return for the following scenarios.

#5 Have Roman just announce his return date

Roman Reigns will be on RAW
Roman Reigns will be on RAW

The first reason WWE could have Reigns return on RAW to make the audience aware of when he will be returning to the ring; whether it is soon or sometime in the future. Reigns could also announce something along the lines of him continuing WWE after his return as a part-timer so he doesn't have to exert himself as much as a full-timer at this stage of his recovery.

#4 Roman sends a message to Ambrose and Rollins

One last Shield reunion?
One last Shield reunion?

Roman Reigns could use his appearance on RAW to put over his former Shield brothers in a big way ahead of WrestleMania. Seth Rollins is set to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship in the biggest match of his career.

As for Dean Ambrose, there are rumors that he could leave the WWE following WrestleMania when his contract expires. He has reportedly refused to sign a new contract. Tension between Ambrose and Triple H was teased a few weeks ago on RAW but we still don't know what he will do at Mania.

#3 Roman Reigns attacks Brock Lesnar

This one depends on one thing - whether WWE want to add Roman Reigns to the WWE Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 35. It also depends on if Lesnar is booked for RAW this week. I can see WWE doing this although this would almost certainly hurt Roman's return as a babyface.

At this point, I'm pretty sure a lot of WWE fans would like to see Rollins face Lesnar in a singles match and finally have his moment in the spotlight.

#2 Roman helps Becky Lynch in her feud against The McMahons

Another WWE Superstar Reigns could put over on the road to WrestleMania is 'The Man' Becky Lynch. Lynch was suspended for 60-days from WWE by Vince McMahon himself a couple of weeks ago on RAW.

Reigns has had his own battles against the McMahons and could help Becky Lynch on RAW, standing side by side with her. For example, if security guards come to drag Becky Lynch out of the arena, Reigns can help her send them packing.

#1 Gets interrupted by his WrestleMania opponent

If Roman Reigns is indeed fit to compete at WrestleMania, what better occasion to lay the seeds of a potential match in April than on his RAW return. It will be an emotional moment for sure and his future opponent could come out and interrupt him.

Things don't necessarily have to get physical in the segment but Roman could simply be laid out so he can look vulnerable since he's the clear babyface in this situation. Fans will already be behind Reigns and this could be Vince McMahon's last chance to cement him as WWE's top babyface.

After the angle is set up on RAW, WWE will have a lot of time to build the feud for WrestleMania. I don't know who WWE could have in mind to face Reigns at WrestleMania 35. Sound off on who think could face Reigns in the comments below.
