On the Raw after Survivor Series, Paige showed up to make her grand return. But she didn't come alone. Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose soon invaded the ring and took out some of Raw's top female talent. After that, another melee broke out backstage as Alexa Bliss met their wrath as well.
Raw has a new gang warfare element to it in the Women's Division and that could be a scary thing. A lot of things could happen as a result of this new faction and only time will tell how far it will go. But let's explore 5 possibilities of what could happen as the story of Paige, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose continues.
1) Paige's Raw Women's Championship run
Let's face it, Paige likes being a champion. Alexa Bliss is the Raw Women's Champion right now and she took a beating on Raw just like everyone else. Paige was awfully attentive to Little Miss Bliss as well to make sure she knew who was back in town.
If Paige were to leverage this new faction to gain her the Raw Women's Championship it could take the title chase in an interesting direction. After all, Alexa Bliss doesn't chase championships very well because she usually just wins them as a dastardly heel. With the numbers game to Paige's advantage, it would be easy to see how she might gain the upper hand in a singles match.
4) Paige is the mastermind of both invasions
Paige is a very smart cookie and there is an idea already floating around out there that she could not only be the mastermind of the Raw invasion of fierce females but the SmackDown version as well. On the night following Raw's injection of female talent, Liv Morgan, Ruby Riot, and Sarah Logan popped up on SmackDown Live to lay waste to some people.
If Paige were behind both of these factions it could be very interesting and possibly present some surprising mixed-brand action. It could also go on to break kayfabe a little bit depending on how far WWE is willing to take it.
3) The Asuka Factor
Is anybody really ready for Asuka? Perhaps, this new NXT faction has been brought up to take out the woman nobody could in WWE's developmental territory. If Paige, Deville, and Rose band together and take on The Empress Of Tomorrow fans might see Asuka's seemingly unbreakable streak broken into a million little pieces.
It could be akin to how Goldberg's streak was broken via shenanigans. And whether or not Paige uses a taser, Asuka could always fall to this new stable and then get her heat back in a big way. It could get Asuka's first loss out of the way without it hurting as much (if they do it right) and go on for a possible program of matches between Paige and Asuka who are two women everyone wants to see go at it anyway
2) Placeholder until Paige's movie
The Rock's Seven Bucks Productions and WWE Studios joined together to produce a film about Paige and her famous wrestling family based on the documentary "Fighting With My Family." This production actually took place during the time Paige was away from the company but now that she's back and the movie's release seems to be around the corner, who knows how WWE will cross-promote this new venture.
We can probably expect to see plenty of clips and Paige will be on television a lot. Let's just hope this film is as good as it can be. With WWE's help, they could eventually go on to tell even more amazing stories in pro wrestling with official licensing attached.
But if WWE really wanted to sell this movie on television they might want to keep Paige as babyface as possible. Therefore, by the time this movie comes out, it might be a good idea to turn her from a heel. Either way, this upcoming movie is going to be pretty cool.
1) Nia Jax's worst nightmare
Nia Jax commented on Twitter about Paige and her new friends saying she wanted to "welcome" them. After all, Jax missed the Raw following Survivor Series where she suffered a count out elimination to save heat on her. WWE obviously wants to do something with her, and her name has a lot of value attached to it.
Therefore, if Paige, Deville, and Rose banded together to feud with Jax it might be a great way to get them all over. Jax is already plenty human enough opening up to the media about her innermost feelings and becoming a real person on Total Divas. Now that the shield of protection has been peeled off, Paige and her friends could dismantle Jax in a great display.
Nia Jax could fight back and nearly come out on top, but with nobody to help her and Alexa Bliss staying as far away from this madness as possible The Girl Who's Not Like Most Girls wouldn't have anyone to help her. After the numbers game wins out there could be plenty of opportunity for emotions.
It could really get Nia Jax over as a babyface and cement Paige and pals in the process.
