5 Superstars who could win the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble and why

Who
Who could win in Philly?

The first-ever Women's Royal Rumble is already a big deal and the winner needs to be chosen carefully. WWE has a lot of very fine candidates who they could place in a main event setting at WrestleMania 34 against either brand's champion, but they need to make a choice of one winner.

You can never truly predict anything in pro wrestling and WWE has a lot of ways they could go in this match. But let's take a look at five plausible options they have to kick off the Road To WrestleMania in a big way.

#1 Asuka

Asuka
Asuka could do some damage in a rumble

The Empress Of Tomorrow is ready to impress and she's just getting started on the WWE main roster. She has run roughshod over the Raw women's locker room so far and the crowds love it. Given the right entry into the big match, she could certainly capitalise, kick everyone in the head, send them over the top rope and dance out of Philly as the winner.

Her buildup toward WrestleMania 34's Raw Women's Title match would certainly be something Triple H might pay close attention to backstage to make sure it's handled properly. The Road To WrestleMania could have Asuka suffer her first real pinfall loss in WWE, but it would only add to the drama.

But the conclusion of Asuka's Road To WrestleMania would not only be flashy but it would also see The Empress Of Tomorrow strutting out of New Orleans with Raw's top women's prize.

#2 Naomi

Could
Could the Royal Rumble be glowing?

Just Naomi's WrestleMania entrance in a dark Superdome's main event setting could be enough for WWE to book Naomi as the winner because they could turn the entire stadium into a rave. After all, she was the first to announce she was throwing her glowing hat in the running for the Royal Rumble match.

The former SmackDown Women's Champion had a great WrestleMania moment in her hometown last year so she knows how to win in a big match. Therefore, Naomi could make it an annual tradition at this point.

The Total Divas star not only has the athletic ability to pull it off but it seems like she's getting even better all the time. Pretty soon it might be impossible to overlook The Glow and the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match could very well be her's for the taking.

#3 Ronda Rousey

How much wil
How much will she do in WWE?

By all reports, Ronda Rousey is coming to WWE. Some of her other friends might not be showing up to wrestle, but with the time Rousey put in the ring she will certainly utilise those skills she's learned at this point.

Dave Meltzer said other women involved in the match are under the impression Ronda Rousey will be in the match as well and it would certainly be a moment that makes Sports Center the next morning if Rousey won the big match. After all, WWE loves good publicity.

There were also rumours Rousey would be paired up against Charlotte Flair for a match, and seeing how Flair is the SmackDown Women's Champion, that makes it totally plausible as well.

#4 Nia Jax

Cou
Could this girl win in Philly?

"The Girl Who's Not Like Most Girls" is going to certainly have a large target on her back during this match but she could also easily win. After all, she's thrown plenty of women over the top rope before in her career.

This win might also set up a WrestleMania encounter against her best friend Alexa Bliss which is a match WWE really wants and have been toying with for some time.

The buildup to a WrestleMania match might have a lot of reality behind it and the payoff could be huge with Nia Jax finally reaching the top of the Raw Women's Division in true babyface fashion. But never count out Alexa Bliss and her caginess in a tough situation.

#5 Paige

She coul
She could tear the stars down from the sky in Philly

Everyone loves a good comeback story and if Paige returned after so long away from WWE to capture the Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania it could be a moment fit for another film about her life. But she would need to win the Women's Royal Rumble first, and with Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose by her side, they might provide the special ingredients needed to make that recipe happen.

Paige vs Alexa Bliss could a huge marquee match as well and although it seems that Absolution is targeting other women going into the Royal Rumble, their focus could certainly change.

Alexa Bliss needs to be in a program for the Raw Women's Championship that matters rolling into WrestleMania 34 because she's been such a great champion. So win or lose in New Orleans, The Anti-Diva and Five Feet Of Fury could tear the house down.
