Kenny Omega successfully defeated Sami Callihan at IMPACT Wrestling's Slammiversary which means the AEW still holds four world titles - the IMPACT World title, the old TNA World Title, the AAA World Title, and, of course, the AEW World Title.
It has been quite the sight watching Kenny Omega enter for matches carrying all four world titles around his waist, neck and arms. Sometimes he even has others like Don Callis or the Good Brothers carry the titles for him.
But there are plenty more world champions out there for Omega to add to his collection of belts and plenty more world champions that The Cleaner could vanquish in doing so.
So let's take a look at 5 current World Champions in wrestling that Kenny Omega could possibly defeat to add another title to his collection.
#4. New Japan Wrestling's Shingo Takagi stands between Kenny Omega and the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship
At Slammiversary we most recently saw Jay White confront Kenny Omega at the end of Slammiversary, directly connecting three major wrestling companies: AEW, IMPACT Wrestling and NJPW.
This means that we could feasibly see Kenny Omega take on Shingo Takagi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title. This is a match that we sadly never got to see in NJPW because Omega left the company before Takagi was hired.
It would be an absolutely incredible match should the two ever face off, and Omega would look great with the title he formerly held during his time there added to his collection.
#3. Jacob Fatu is Major League Wrestling's current champion, but not for long if Kenny Omega has anything to say about it
Major League Wrestling is one of the newest companies in professional wrestling but it has already created several stars who are now killing it at the bigger wrestling promotions.
It has surprisingly kept itself out of the 'Forbidden Door' affair so far, with none of their stars crossing over to AEW, IMPACT, NJPW or WWE for that matter. In fact, MLW have their own thing going with Pro Wrestling NOAH.
But, the 'Forbidden Door' has already revealed itself several times, so there's absolutely no reason why NOAH and MLW can't enter into the fun.
#2. The Ten Pounds of Gold could go to Kenny Omega if he's dethrones NWA Champion Nick Aldis
Kenny Omega could definitely add The Ten Pounds of Gold to his growing collection.
Nick Aldis has been quite some champion for the NWA, holding the title for a total of 1,000 days. It also doesn't look like he's going to lose the coveted Ten Pounds of Gold anytime soon.
However, he did lose it once thanks to a partnership between AEW and NWA that saw Cody Rhodes become NWA Champion by beating Aldis. The Brit would eventually win it back, but Rhodes proved he could be beaten.
Could we see a further AEW/NWA partnership lead to Aldis yet again dropping the title? With Omega collecting title belts, the two companies working together regularly and Aldis looking for challengers, it seems only a matter of time until the two men face each other.
#1. WWE/Universal Champions Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns could lose to Kenny Omega
Okay, so the prospect of seeing WWE enter the 'Forbidden Door' shenanigans that are going on right now seems like a pipe dream. But never say never in professional wrestling.
For example, no one would've thought that CM Punk would drop a pipe bomb and 'legitimately' leave WWE with the WWE Title, but he did. If WWE sees enough value and money in having Omega appear on a WWE show and face one of their world champions, they'll do it.
Consequently, we could very well see either Bobby Lashley or Roman Reigns defend the WWE or Universal Title against Kenny Omega. Just don't come running to me if it doesn't happen!
