#4 Big E vs Apollo Crews (WWE Intercontinental Championship)

All signs suggest that Big E will once again defend the Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews

The WWE Intercontinental Championship feud between Big E and Apollo Crews has been going since January on Friday Night SmackDown. After defeating Apollo Crews to retain the Intercontinental Championship at Fastlane, Big E has beaten Crews in 3 seperate Intercontinental Title matches.

However, the feud between the two doesn't look set to conclude anytime soon. After Big E defeated his opponent at Fastlane, Apollo Crews once again viciously attacked the WWE Intercontinental Champion. While a WrestleMania 37 match between Big E and Apollo Crews is yet to be announced, it's a safe bet the match will be confirmed in the immediate future.

The main issue and problem with this storyline now is why does Apollo Crews continue to have Intercontinental Championship opportunities? After turining heel on SmackDown earlier this year, Apollo Crews has undergone a metamorphasis of sorts. Crews has embraced his Nigerian roots and begun speaking with a Nigerian accent on WWE television. But he continues to lose to Big E when it truly matters.

At this point, logic would state that Crews has exhausted all of his opportunities to challenge for the Intercontinental Championship. But because he continues to attack Big E on SmackDown and after their matches on pay-per-view, he's still the number one contender? It doesn't make sense.

There's no doubt that Big E and Apollo Crews have good chemistry. But at this point, we've seen the match several times. There needs to be some evolution or development for the WWE Universe to continue to be invested in the storyline going forward.
